The former communist nation said it is willing to help solve the Philippine’s insurgency if President Duterte ask the Kremlin’s help, Russian Army General Kirov Molotov said thru the country’s official newspaper, RIA Novosti
The Kremlin’s statement followed after the National Democratic Front (NDF) spokesperson Fidel Agcaoili said the government should continue with the peace talk. The Kremlin said aside from Sison in The Netherlands, two of the top CPP officials have been living in Russia but refused to name the two fugitives.
The Duterte government pulled-out from peace talk after Joma Sison and the NDF told the New People’s Army to intensify its attack on government targets in response to Duterte’s declaration of Martial Law.
Molotov said that the Russian intelligence have more than enough knowledge on the communists’ source of funds, and toppling the said source will surely paralyze the communist’s Philippine operations.
Molotov added that his government can also help bring many foreign communist supporters and officers back to the Philippines, including Jose Maria Sison.
“Communism is not the answer. It must be destroyed totally so the central government can control and discipline everything.”, Molotov said.
Molotov, a young army officer during the Soviet crisis also said that there is no good in communism, especially if you force it in a democratic country like the Philippines.
“What Russia can provide is more than firepower. We can provide complete intelligence about their supply of money, arms, and their Philippine camps – even secret mountain camps. We can supply firepower to destroy these camps. Why we know? Because some of our former brothers help them build their camps in the Philippines”, Molotov said. /Tibor Rustia/
