What the fuss is all about?

By Van Ybiernas

Di ko maintindihan what the fuss is all about.

There is an allegation against the Caloocan cops in connection with Kian de los Santos's death.

What did you expect, that the cops will just admit to murder even if it looks as though they murdered Kian? Of course, they will deny!

Kaya nga umaakyat sa husgado para husgahan kung sino ang may- at/o walang sala!

Practically everyone (i.e., PRRD, Gen. Bato, etc.) has said if guilty, the police will be punished.

But the War on Drugs cannot be stopped just because a handful of police officers are found to have committed abusive acts.

I mean, I don't go out and say that Congress should be abolished because of Pangilinan's stupid Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006, which encourages adults to train minors to commit criminal acts because they will not be punished as the adults are. (Although I have given the opinion that the Senate is not needed; it is a relic of our American colonial past which really makes legislation slower and less efficient).
