Miriam Defensor-Santiago was interviewed by the media late last night, May 6, 2016, after she called for an emergency press conference. In the 20-minute press conference, she began telling the media that the current administration's wicked ways of making sure that their continuity in the government remains through LP candidate Mar Roxas. The recent black propaganda schemes against Mayor Duterte have been below the belt and is quite alarming to realize how far the Mar's camp is willing to push the envelope just to secure the people's votes, Miriam says. Furthermore, she fears an imminent vote cheating, taking into consideration their dirty games. She said that the good Mayor only has pure intentions of running as President like her but it is imperative to join forces with him in order to fight the atrocities that the camp of Roxas has been hurling towards the mayor as of late. She said she will make a formal announcement via national television by 5 P.M. today at The Peninsula Manila hotel.
