From Cory to Noynoy – Hypocrisy and Opportunism at its Best

I ceased being a “Corysta” when I personally saw the slaughter of the farmers rallying at Mendiola during the time I was studying at the university belt. There was finger pointing between Ramos and Alfredo Lim… then came the whitewash in media. NOBODY WAS CHARGED. NO ONE TOOK THE RESPONSIBILITY… AND IT WAS UNDER CORY’S WATCH.

All but Cory did was to justify and/or whitewash one mistake after the other… The creation of the PCGG paved way for the entry of the kamag-anak incorporated as CEO and BODs of Government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs). A priest would even justify this form of NEPOTISM by saying that it was better choice arguing on the context that there are no trusted and competent persons than the kamaganaks. The appointments of incompetent Officers in Charge (OICs) also led to new sets of political oligarchs all over the country… and these yellow circumstances validated the truth in the saying SLAVES OF TODAY… TYRANTS OF TOMORROW.

Then came the Gatchitorena land scam and the overpriced flyovers. Same old s h i t and cycle of whitewash, denials and finger pointing until the news articles related to these scams and blunders die.

But the worst sin of Cory that came unnoticed is the NON-IMPLEMENTATION OF CARP IN HER OWN DOMAIN… the hacienda luisita… even if the constitution that is referenced to her administration so states that LAND SHOULD BE DISTRIBUTED.

NOW CAME NOYNOY…

Those who have manipulated Cory are the same persons (and corporations) who are now pushing Noynoy to get that most coveted political position in the land… Noynoy doesn’t need money anymore. He gets his allowances from the shares of stocks of the hacienda and other family owned corporations. He doesn’t need to have another set of x thousand of hectares for a domain co-ownership of such vast land provides an income that can buy him food, clothing, shelter and luxury items for his syota. OTOH, his immediate family and his clan need to have a grasp on the political network that can influence the government to shut the fnck up on the luisita issue. Whoever gets elected other than him and his cousin Gibo, in all probability will seize this kingdom from them either for political mileage or for an honest to goodness implementation of that specific provision in the constitution… distribute the land.

Purpose of Voting Noynoy

As blinded as they’ve been, the Noynoyistas, who are obviously former Corystas, still cannot see beyond the man. They have twisted logic that sugarcoats whatever incompetence Noynoy has. Even educated Catholics see the death of Cory as a “sign”. A sign of what? Another one said to me that voting for Noynoy means pursuit of cases against Gloria’s “sins”… if that’s the logic… what about Cory’s sins?

The measurement of competence with reference to Noynoy will have the usual tag lines…

… on his non-performance as a legislator they justify that by saying... there are so many laws already no need to create new ones. Noynoy should have ran for governor of Tarlac if that’s the case. He has spent 12 years averaging 1 bill per year incurring 7 million pesos annually… WITH NO BILL TURNED INTO A LAW.

…he is the son of Cory and Ninoy… he will take care of their legacy… LEGACY OF WHAT? Probably a legacy of lies and deceit… of opportunism and manipulations. Economy during cory’s watch where the loudmouth Solita Monsod was the economic adviser was not good. Those who gained through these political connections with the Aquinos were the Lopezes, the Ayalas, the MBCs and of course the Kamaganaks Inc. Same sets of persons same sets of interests same mode of manipulations. Same compromises… an Iglesia ni Kristo indorsement is a compromise. It is a promise to APPOINT INC MEMBERS TO KEY POSITIONS IN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. Just like the old and the incumbent administrations.

… he only owns an insignificant percentage in Luisita so he is not accountable... if you own a portion of Hades’ or Lucifer’s version of hell will you give it up for the common good? farmers have died in his hell place. 6k hectare is incomparable to DOLE pineapple plantation of 100+ hectares (naka lease pa). How many Filipinos could have benefited from that? Articles show that the “incident” is not even one incident but a recurring process… one or several deaths after the other. Yet… the noynoyistas are one track minded persons that would say this fact is just black propaganda.

… he leads surveys ergo, he must be the chosen one. Yes… he is the chosen one of the kamaganak and kaibigan incorporated. The board of directors, the founders, the owners of SWS and Pulse Asia are them. They have manipulated the political perception of the people. This scientific bullshit of getting samples and purposive selection of areas have been used by the Aquinos and their patrons for their own advantage. Publications of these “results” became the battlecry of the Noynoyistas… perhaps LEADING SURVEYS IS THE ONLY SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT OF NOYNOY IN HIS LIFETIME.

These arguments with twisted logic are continuously broadcast in the conventional media. Plus the political ads that say merely nothing of accomplishments. “Kailangan ko po…”, “Kayo po ang aking lakas”, “Si Mar Roxas po ang gumawa ng ganito”, “Lalabanan natin ang graft and corruption”, “Dito po tayo sa daang matuwid”…. He’s been complaining of the other candidate’s political ads… but during commercial breaks FOUR OUT OF SIX ads are his… isn’t that hypocrisy? How many millions spent for this TV ads? Who funds them?

Ano ang daang matuwid? Ang pagiging TAMAD?

Tomorrow… I will vote and it’s definitely not Noynoy.

Because their minds are programmed that Noynoy is the savior of the Philippines, the anointed one. They believe Cory and Ninoy are the saints who died with clean conscience and that their spirits are living in Noynoy (and in Kris, Balsy, etc). On the other hand, our minds are programmed that past performance dictates future performance. It should have been that way, but most Filipinos are firm believers of love, anointing, spiritual stuffs — any magical thing that will come to reality. Filipinos also enjoy being swayed by anything that is “uso.” They think Noynoy is “uso,” the other candidates are “palasak.”
Just stick with your candidate. Deprogramming the Noynoy craze is a tough job.

    I am ngoyngoy Reply:

partly true, but I already convinced 6-10 ngoyngoy fanatics to think and switch sides.,

yesterday a celebration was held inside my house and we accidentally dwelve into the 2010 election.. about 30 people attended the party 7 was pro noy upto last night and 4 of them is already at dick’s side (some of them is still undecided and some are for gibo) because I asked them to look up to the facts and even given them various links including this site

and yes oh yes when the read a whole bunch of articles of AP and examined those gordon videos they suddenly stop and think for about 5 mins then after that they said, “well said dude I guess you got us, expect an additional vote for dick” then they kid around saying “grabe ka mag endorse ah binayaran ka siguro” then they started laughing (well that binayaran ka siguro stuff is a joke)

but then again all I’m saying is that it still isn’t too late up until the last minute I wont stop until I change every ngoyngoy supporters mind.. (about the other 1 noy fanatics I mentioned guess I can’t budge her she still goes for the “lesser evil”)

  2. Same here. Hah!

  6. This obviously came straight from the heart Jet.

I didn’t have to witness any atrocities under Cory’s administration to believe that doing nothing is actually worse than doing the actual crime. It’s the same story with Noynoy; he hasn’t done much to uplift the condition of the poor people all this time, what makes other people think he is going to start now? Those who will vote for him are making a big mistake.

  7. Great piece Jet! We cannot emphasize enough what sort of a man is being given the thumbs up to “lead” the country in the next six years. Depends of course on what “lead” means. Obviously to Filipinos, we go by our true-to-form substandard criteria for evaluating most things. Just like we apply mediocre standards for success, we too apply mediocre standards to the sort of leader we subject ourselves to.

The irony here is that cronyism will be back — this time with a yellow colour. We’ve come full circle. As the officiating minister would say during a funeral “ashes to ashes, dust to dust”, so too can we consider how the election of another Aquino to Malcanang can be eulogised: Edsa to Edsa, cronyism to cronyism.

And thus we herald another descent to the Dark Ages — when truth succumbs to the cloak of a Media Industry dominated by Kamaganak Inc.

  8. Since the confirmed report is out on whose actually controlling the survey companies, it was the family and friends of the Aquinos. I would believe the mock election that was conducted by all UP students. Gordon came up on top and Gibo second. What makes it more credible, it was done twice with the same results. Aquino rank fourth place. That is as close as we are going to get when it comes to surveys.

  9. NOT TO MENTION NOYNOY IS THE 6TH BIGGEST SPENDER IN THE SENATE. Before running for Office, his only work was for the family business, which turned bankcrupt (Luisita).

    Sincere? May integrity? Moral?

Sadly many Filipinos think he’s the one. Nobody likes another Gloria, I agree, but because Noynoy can pinpoint the flaws of Gloria, does it automatically mean he can turn things around completely?

Philippines, be embarrassed. I am very embarrassed that majority is rooting for a lazy public servant backed by Sharon Cuneta and Ate Vi. The Philippines will be worse in the next 6 years, NO DOUBT.
