ALL MY BAGS ARE PACKED, AM READY TO GO: DE LIMA BRACES FOR JAIL
Senator Leila de Lima has possibility will soon be jailed due to her involvement in the illegal drug trade.
According to the senator, she has prepared her personal belongings in case she is arrested.
“Magdadala lang ako ng isang luggage, ng maleta, ilang pangtulog at pangbihis, ng pang-arw-araw, kung saan man ako (ikulong). (I will bring) mga ano lang, mga comfortable clothes – shirts, casual shirts and then casual pants,” De Lima said.
“Isa pa ‘yun sa talagang pinaka-plano kong gawin. I would have more time to read books so na-prepare ko na rin ‘yun,” she said.
“Sabi ko tatagan lang nila ang loob nila. I told them that it’s imminent na baka nga tuluyan na akong ipa-aresto. I-file na nila yung information to possibly with the regular courts, or some of them with the regular courts and then kung hindi maagapan yung TRO (temporary restraining order), then prepare yourself for this scenario,” she said.
“Kasi ayaw ko naman na pag biglang nangyari ay mabibigla sila and then hindi rin nila alam ang gagawin,” she said.
“Sinabi ko na rin sila. Because I want everyone to be prepared, and sabi ko nga, if that happensalready, ayaw kong makakita ng umiiyak, papagalitan ko yung makikita ko. Sabi naman nila, ‘Ma’am di naman siguro bawal umiyak.’ Sabi ko, bawal umiyak, wag kayong magpakita sa akin,” she said.
