There was INJUSTICE...

HOW the CORONAs ACQUIRED for MEASLY P28,000 the OWNERSHIP of P30-MILLION CASH ASSET of BASA-GUIDOTE Corporation !!!

Something is definitely wrong in the auction of ownership--in the form of 4,729 corporate shares--of P30 MILLION cash asset for a P28,000 pittance--simply to satisfy a questionable obligation in the first place of P500,000? Questionable because when the court judgment for damages was issued, Mr. Jose Ma. Basa was already dead and his DEATH legally extinguished his CRIMINAL liability, from which the award of damages was anchored.

Mrs. Cristina Corona, the trustee of the late Jose Ma. Basa's P30-million CASH asset, could have simply told the SHERIFF to garnish P500,000 out of this P30 million outright cash held by her in trust for him, so that Mr. Basa would still have a remaining cash asset of P29.5 million, instead of losing it in a totally AVOIDABLE AUCTION SALE of its ownership-document?

To begin with, why didn't Mrs. Cristina Corona initiate the distribution to stockholders as liquidating dividend of the P34.7 million sales proceeds of the family corporation's property sold way back in 2001? Had she done so, even if Mr. Basa's 4,729 shares were sold in 2003, it would not carry with it his P30-million cash asset.

What's more, the sheriff's notice of execution of court judgment was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS, so that Mr. Basa's heirs were not informed of what was happening, in the process they FAILED to protect their rights and preserve their P30 million cash asset--a failure that seemed deliberately induced.

Mrs. Cristina Corona's acts of OMISSION as trustee of the P34.7 million sales proceeds, received by her from the buyer of the family corporation's property sold in 2001, resulted ultimately in her daughter's gaining ownership of P30 MILLION cash from the late Jose Ma. Basa for a ridiculously low payment of P28,000--can't we see what's terribly wrong in this situation or turn of events, alluded to as possible "MACHINATION" by Senator Enrile himself during the last trial?

Clearly, there was a case of INJUSTICE to Mr. Jose Ma. Basa and his family--and it was tolerated by the now Chief Justice of the land whose fitness to stay in office is subject of impeachment trial.
