Utak ng Goldfish

Seeing fish go around in circles may look cute or “amazing”, but it’s nothing but a “Big Pile of Stupid.” These fish are going around in circles because for some weird reason, the “school” decided they’d follow other fish, forgetting that the fish they were following are actually at the rear of the same school. Everyone’s following everyone else, and in the end, you’ve got an endless loop. How do you get them out of it? Throw a rock to break the chain? Throw in some crumbs to get them out of it?

This situation is not too different from the Philippine Intelligentsia, the Philippine mainstream bloggers’ community, the Philippine opinion-makers’ scene.

You have nitwits like Manuel L. Quezon III who follows Abe Margallo who follows Conrado de Quiros, who follows Ellen Tordesillas who follows Harvey Keh, who follows Jim Paredes, who follows Argee Guevarra, who follows Fr. Robert Reyes, who follows Manuel L. Quezon III. Paikot-ikot lang!

Now, Manuel L. Quezon III is an official of the Abnoy administration, Harvey Keh was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men, Jim Paredes was considered for Secretary of Tourism and is made to host most of Abnoy’s events, and even Conrado de Quiros’ own brother was given a position in a GOCC by Abnoy himself.

Any fresh new ideas? None.

Any good ideas? None.

Any progress made? None.

Same in-bred ideas, same regurgitated rhetoric and same tired old arguments. No wonder the Philippines is so screwed up: Its own intelligentsia and supposedly educated Pinoys are not only genetically in-bred, their ideas are screwed up, unimaginative, and they’re all unable to think outside of the box!

No different from clueless goldfish going around in an endless vicious circle.

    JUANA CHANGE – PORSCHE

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW0u9CeRm70

This video is another form of mockery and a contribution to the destabilization of this country. Producers, cast and contributors to the development of this video should re-think if what they are doing would be an aid to the positive development of the country or fuel its destruction. This form of disrespect should not be followed nor be given importance by fellow countrymen. I still pray that people choose to find means to help than destroy.

Indeed. I have noticed that the blogs of some of the “notorious AP bloggers – the hated Ulong Pare and spammer Renato Pacifico” made it to the mainstream editorials of Philippine print media. It only shows that the Philippine media/journalists are running out of materials to be relevant. With the advent of social networking, they no longer have the monopoly of information flow, good, or bad, or indifferent…

    what exactly do you want?

    Jay Reply:

I think the author is rather clear. Your question however, bordering on pretty vague.

    [Reply]

    GabbyD Reply:

ha? anong clear dito? what exactly does “new ideas” mean? whats the problem with any of the people he’s criticized?

    [Reply]

    Jay Reply:

what exactly does “new ideas” mean

Uh, the ones clearly opposite of the people he’s criticizing and the way THEY think of ideas? You know, thinking OUTSIDE of the box. And further reinforced from his conclusion. So obviously you should get the answer to what he wants. Of course the process and means were not brought up so I won’t delve into that.

The kind of ideas that would make you very unpopular and grounds for accusations of such typical means like crab mentality (which are for crab people) and misuse of the word racist.

    GabbyD Reply:

“the ones clearly opposite of the people he’s criticizing”"

    ANO nga yun?

    Jay Reply:

whatever the ideas that the people he’s criticizing are perpetuating. Is it that hard to understand the concept? Then again its not so obvious.

    GabbyD Reply:

“whatever the ideas that the people he’s criticizing”

ano ba jay, my question is ANO ang mga ideas na yun? what is a new idea?

if u dont know the answer, fine. (this is becoming obvious)

of course its the opposite of whatever those people are saying! thats EASY and OBVIOUS.

but the non-obvious thing is WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?

ok. what is one “new idea”? do u know of any new ideas we should be doing, but arent? why should we be doing this “new idea”

this article feels like a rant. if its JUST a rant, then fine.

but if rizal wants something done, just go ahead and say what you want.

    Peste Reply:

GabbyD, GabbyD, why don’t you THINK of a “new idea” YOURSELF instead of asking from others?

Also, this a article is a rant. But I’m rather amused why correctly pointing out that it is would be a big thing for you: “Oh boy, Dr. Jose Rizal II, that pretentiously-named AP writer more known for his kilometric articles, writes a short butthurt article. HA!”

    GabbyD Reply:

    peste,

if i have a new idea that works, i’ll be sure to tell people.

also, i’m not a fan of rants. i dont know what the point of a rant is. do you?

    Peste Reply:

Rants are like movies. Usually it’s just entertainment, but once in a while you may still get some insight out of all the hilarity/drama/action — depends on the viewer.

Well, do tell if you got a good idea, you got one in that other article overflowing with butthurt from all sides.

    Scraggly Reply:

It’s obvious he wants Filipinos to start thinking for themselves based on conditions or the situation instead of just copying what the next guy is saying or doing without knowing why. Are you that stupid, GabbyD?

    [Reply]

    Jay Reply:

GabbyD is MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS!

But give him something that needs a bit of introspective thinking and he’ll ignore it and offer his own inanity instead and whine about why he can’t understand it. Followed by GabbyDoDo denying it and making himself out the victim.

    GabbyD Reply:

    @?

ha? think for ourselves? so if you and jay agree on something, you dont think for yourself!?

geez… ok sige, what is an example of “new idea”?
ok. the comments here, and rizals silence suggest this is JUST A RANT. so fine.

“Siguro kung pinakain ka ng tae kakainin mo, tama ba GabbyD” what wonderful gems! i love how u elevate political discourse!

i guess this is the NEW IDEA you are interested in. **** eating? hmmm pass muna. i dont wanna be accused of un-original thinking.

remember, everybody: do not eat ****. you wll be accused of not thinking for yourself. it was scraggly’s idea!

Filipinos UTAK GOLDFISH? HA!HA!HA!HA! That is a total upgrade from UTAK BOLINAW !!! Ha!ha!ha!ha! Filipinos do not deserve a Goldfish adjective. BOLINAW ‘guro !!! HA!HA!HA! Jose Rizal’s analogy of Filipino brainwaves is diametrically opposite to Renato Pacifico’s “waiting game” where “Filipinos wait for Filipinos to change who is also waiting for another Filipinos to change who is also waiting for another Filipino …. ” HA!HA!HA!HA! Jose Rizal’s parable is the same as Renato’s. HA!HA!HA!HA!
I tell potential AntiPinoys never appoint anyone for Philippine media !!! Lookit, Noli de Castro. He arrogates himself in NAIA. Today it is not an issue. It is burried. Burried by their compadres in the media !!!! ha!ha!ha!ha!ha!

Renato Pacifico’s recommendation to outsource the government has gained traction, too !!!! The victims of acquitted Ampatuan has gone to the United Nations and International Court to try Ampatuan. That is goot as outsourcing Philippine Justice System. Singson’s prosecution is also outsourced to Hong-Kong. So are the invistigation of Chinese Bus Massacre. Hong-Kongese brought their forensic investigators because PHilippine investigators might be boughted or bungle the whole thing. That is outsourcing, too, little-by-little in the right direction.

    2) CPP/NPA zarzuela – flip admin idinamay basically the whole world who would “donate” ‘sang tambaks na dolyares for its cause…

Quite vague for an article although the gist of it is that nothing new is happening in our country. Same old people from the same old flock are running things. No new ideas contributed so far. Same old sh** we’ve been in for so long.

Mmmyeah pretty much. Those intellehistas are just riding on their laurels and if anybody who can think outside of the box takes it to them, they will counter with how distinguished they are to the people who put them in their proper places, thus their apparent importance to the oblivious Pinoy minds. Of course the bloggers follow because they don’t want to sound contrived with their attempt to being edgy and lose out hits to the status-quo message.

Filipinos have no functioning brain. Their brain is not wired to “think” logically, a grave sign of religious dependency. If one self-proclaimed know-it-all started an innuendo, the rest will follow without regard to facts or reasons. It is highly evident when a lone Filipino was/is recognized for his/her personal accomplishment/s, Filipinos will rally behind the fame to hide their abject failures and/or shortcomings.

What I have known of our leaders and our political system is: it is absurd…
Our leaders are so hollow headed…they need bunch of people, as their cheering squads…not only to boost the Egos, but to show their own Self-Importance…
We keep going round-and-round, for years…never progressing where we are, because of these people…

From the HK Standard: Fury as Manila five fail to show for video quiz.

“The sudden postponement angered hostage survivors and family members of victims.
“Police flew over to set up the link with their consent,” survivor Lee Ying- chuen said. “But the [witnesses] suddenly said they were not appearing without any explanation. I’m very furious.”
