Is it really fun to be in the Philippines?

I went home to the Philippines after over a decade of absence. When I left last September, I tried to be early for the NAIA airport departure to find many travelers. Thousands of us were lined up-WITH ONLY THREE (3) immigration officers serving departing passengers. Foreigners were taking pictures of the lineup, young kids were crying, and people dragging some carry-on luggage.

After a couple of hours (yes, two hours), I eventually reached the immigration cubicle and inquired from the harassed officers, why only three of them were assigned to serve thousands of early passengers. He said conspiratorially, you can blame the incumbent Immigration Commissioner (I think the name is Rivera). He was a CLASSMATE of the President (BS Aquino) and this is his doing!

Many were late for their flights. The lone escalator going down to the departure lounges was not operating.  People had to drag their luggage down.

Now, consider why the President not only abandoned our brother Muslims in Sabah, weaving in a front page picture praises for his stance "Peace with our Malaysian brothers"? Recall the same scenario in WW II when British Premier Richard Chamberlain waved a piece of paper in a headline supposedly signed by Adolf Hitler, saying "Peace in our Time"!

When the late Pres.Ferdinand Marcos trained a secret military group codenamed "JABIDAH" under Col. Martelino to invade and take position of SABAH, one escapee of the Corregidor Massacre survived and was cuddled by the late Sen. Benigno "NINOY" Aquino and with fanfare and flourish, he "exposed" the plan in the Senate and to the world! That was the golden age of Ninoy! Not only did he doomed the recovery of Sabah for the Sultanate of Sulu, but alienated our usual allies, USA, Great Britain and some Asian neighbors from our claim.

The late Pres. Cory Aquino gave the North Borneo claim, the Silent Treatment during her Administration. Now, with BS Aquino at the helm, is it any wonder why he is behaving this way?  It runs in the family, my friends.

The encroachment of the Chinese Navy in our claimed Scarborough Shoals is being given the same  treatment. The TSINOYS lords over our economy and our people are now reduced to being messengers, taxi-dancers, security guards, waiters, yayas, drivers and pagpag eaters!

Our voters will again return back the same political dynasties to office comes this election.  Guns, goons and gold will prevail once more. Our voters never learn.

Now, my friends, ever wonder why I am advocating for the establishment of a WAR CHEST to be financed by overseas Pinoys for our pet projects in the country?  It will help fund the establishment of ACTION GROUPS to be composed of crusading people involved in public issues (Members of Media, Bishops Conference, the Freemasons, Knights of Rizal, Knights of Columbus, Lins & Rotary Club Members, Party List groups, etc.) on provincial, regional and national levels.

Presently, the administration, the Tsinoys, legislators, foreign interest groups are giving most of our pet issues the cold shoulder.

Let start this off, then we can really get our teeth into these issues.

And then, we can deserve to dream again!
