FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Always bring the food.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Will eat all your food and talk about how nasty it tasted.
FRIENDS: Will say 'hello.'
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Don't hug for fear that their pockets might get lifted, they just tap each other up.
FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Call your parents Mom and Dad.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Call your parents by their first names but only at night and on weekends because of their free evening and weekends cell phone plan.
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Cry with you.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Made you cry then laughed at you.
FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing, and just spending 'time' with you.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Will show up late, eat, and take a plate in some aluminum foil for lunch the next day.
FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Will actually tell all your neighbors and friends your direct quote; plus add some extra comments they think you should have said..
FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds' butt that left you.
GHETTO FR IENDS: Will leave with the crowd, and then instigate the fight by telling the crowd that 'So-and-so wanna fight cuz y'all left her'.
FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, 'I'm home!'
GHETTO FRIENDS: Will show up with their bags and some story about why they got kicked out of their place and need to stay in your house.
FRIENDS: Are for a while.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Are for life.
GHETTO FRIENDS: Are for as long as you have money, a place where they can stay, or you let them borrow your car; otherwise, they don't need you.
