SLAVES OF TODAY, TYRANTS OF TOMORROW

JPR wrote, "why independence when the slaves of today will be the tyrants of tomorrow"

Sir Zane,

Last 11-13 Sep 2008, IFKOR held a "Conference on Dr Jose Rizal", like no other! Had you gone there and participated, you would have been enlightened! Lazir was a mere listener and student like the others who took part. All the Resource Persons were GREAT! (GREAT used here may even be an understatement! May you hear from other worthy Ladies and Knights who were likewise present!)

If you so kindly allow Lazir to give his 2 cents, to reply to your question...

Dr Jose Rizal, in his El Filisbusterismo, put the words in the mouth of Padre Florentino, talking to the dying Simoun. Dr Rizal knew then, as he wrote the final chapters of the Noli sequel, no Filipino in the Philippines possessed integrity, honesty, education/training and character to lead the country, should Katipunan and like-minded Filipinos succeed in the fight against Spain!

In short, the Philippines in Dr Rizal's time was not prepared yet to rule itself.

Running a country would need a whole bunch of educated, able, honest administrators! Who will run the country without the Spaniards? The mostly peasant rebels, who were not educated?

(Glaring example was Cambodia, after Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge took over!)

And if Lazir may add, the KOR has better leaders who qualify, can run/administer the KOR much better than the present incompetent leadership!

"INCOMPETENT" because even though Lazir kept writing IHQ in 2007/2008 about the Alcoba abuse, Mr Esguerra NEVER acted to quickly EXPEL Alcoba, but promoted him instead in July 2007!

Worse, Sir Jun Zerrudo, who furthered Rizalism, was EXPELLED first! (Proof of IHQ favoritism, where the GOOD are hit hard, the BAD/ABUSIVE, get velvet treatment!)

Also, Lazir showed documentary evidence where Mr Esguerra lied twice, in April and in May 2007!

Samuel Samuela used close to 5,000 words and sweeping generalizations, yet couldn't really pinpoint Lazir's misdeed! Before Lazir started to write, the missing approx. Euro 5,000 got lost sometime RY 1999-2000! If a Supreme Commander cannot explain MISSING funds, is that not corruption?, is that not as grievous as charges of giving the KOR a bad name? And if Lazir writes about those, is his reporting to blame for a bad name given the KOR way back RY 1999-2000?

Now if Samuela is FAIR, HONEST, JUST, a man with INTEGRITY and CHARACTER, if he is indeed a GOOD Lawyer worth his grey matter, he must now act upon the evidence/s Lazir submitted, to expel the Supreme Commander for DISHONESTY!, a glaring violation of Sec 4, RA 646 on "good moral character"!)

BIGGER QUESTIONS:

Was the May 2008 elections just a Zarzuela or Moro-Moro? If not, why the claim/report reaching Lazir that Sir Pedro Rosito (RY 2006-2008 Supreme Pursuivant?) "certified" or wrote something stating among others that Visayas or Mindanao chapters/Knights, where the 2008 KOR elections were SUPPOSED to be held, was "not ready or prepared"? (Lazir didn't see the document and he couldn't quote the exact wordings. He is asking though. If he erred, he asks one who knew better to please CORRECT him! If there was a prior agreement to hold the 2008 elections OUTSIDE Luzon, why did Mr Quiambao, Mr Esguerra hold these exercise in Luzon, with the help of a Visaya in the Supreme Council, Sir Pedro Rosito?)

Now, today, there are others more able to run the KOR (the Philippines!), then current incompetent leadership!

Samuel Samuela, show the world you are a man proud of your name, not only a rank, a sash and a title, but one with Integrity, Discipline and Character to stand on your own, to work on merits, to investigate when propriety so dictates!

For country and people!

Subject: JPR said!!!!!!!

Sir's,

A lot of focus on who said this and who said that, and he did this and that.

Change the subject in the Orders interests.

NOW:

JPR wrote, "why independence when the slaves of today will be the tyrants of tomorrow"

What did the national hero mean?

Comments, advice, input, feedback and above all a bit of thought. Our Regional Commander asked children in a contest to explain the meaning. Now to change the topic let's hear from the body, let's get to know JPR better, I need more education on JPR perhaps those reading can spare time to enlighten all on the meaning.
