A true champion in every sense of the word
Sir Bea Diallo, KR, to fight "World Champion" May 5, 2007 to cap extraordinary career in sports
Exemplary Knight holds a Masters degree in Economic Sciences, a former member of Brussels Regional Parliament, an advocate of social activism against violence and racism, and a successful businessman
Waterloo, Belgium - April 18, 2007
Six times International Boxing Federation Middleweight Champion, Sir Bea Diallo is a true champion in every sense of the word who brings special pride to every Knight of Rizal of any race. His well-earned and well-deserved medals, trophies and accolades underscore the meaning of personal achievement. And he is not finished yet.
The Chapter Commander of Lions Chapter in Waterloo, Belgium - Sir Jean Jacobs, KCR - announced in a press release submitted to KOR News the upcoming fight of the Liberian-born Guinean for the title "World Champion" on May 5, 2007 in Liege, Belgium.
Now a highly respected Belgian citizen, Sir Bea is characterized by Sir Jean as an immigrant who understands the value of personal enterpreneurship, the will to learn and inventiveness in business and credits that understanding as reason for his success in reaching 'high goals'.
Sir Bea Diallo started his political career in 2000 and became a member of Belgium's Regional Parliament Commission for Financial Affairs, Budget, Public Services, External Affairs and General Affairs. In 2006 he was elected Alderman for Ixelles.
The sportsman/politician/businessman is also involved with the community through his advocacy of non-violence in marital relationship and against racism in sports. He is idolized by many young people and looked up to as a role model. He is active both in Belgium and in Guinea.
Sir Jacobs did not say when Sir Diallo was initiated into the Order of the Knights of Rizal but amid the raging controversies in Europe particularly about issues of moral character and racism, Sir Bea Diallo's quiet presence brings honor, dignity and pride to the tarnished image of the fraternity even as he continues to show by action what Rizalism is all about.
According to Sir Jacobs the scheduled fight for this one-of-a-kind Knight of Rizal will be his last bout. Though not officially confirmed it is believed the pugilist plans to retire from the ring after that.
