THE PHILIPPINES WAS NEVER PLUNDERED NOR THE WOMEN RAPED BY SPAIN:

In the Philippines "Filipinos" who have been brainwashed by what are not real scholars, but propagandists with their "makabayan studies" believe the fiction, that Spain plundered the Philippines and allegedly committed all sorts of atrocities because they were by nature as the accusation went, evil people. That is a fabricated narrative. This is the historical truth:

Spain did not plunder the islands they will unite and call the Philippines because there was nothing in the entire breath and scope of the Philippines which Spain desired: Gold, Silver, Spices, Silk and Porcelain.

The Philippines lay between the newly discovered sea routes to China and the Moluccas or Spice Islands. At that time various European rivals of Spain like the Portuguese and the Dutch had been doing their own exploring and claiming. Spain had to make a stake to monopolize and "be there first".

While Spain did indeed convert the native "Malays" to Catholicism, which some say through coercion and other say through diplomacy. But in truth both methods were applied depending on the local ruler and circumstance. Spain colonized the Philippines with very specific objectives in mind.

The owning of the Philippines was a projection of Spain's power. And it was colonized to give notice to their rivals that this area of "influence" and its corollary routes, lands etc were therefore theirs. And their rivals should keep out.

More importantly, the colonization of the Philippines was created as a permanent Spanish base to be used as a launching pad for other lands with real economic potential for Spain, and therefore, was administered like a trading post or trading enterpot.

Thats why there werent many Spanish warriors in the Philippines, but instead european merchants and their businesses, which the insidious chinese slowly undermined and destroyed by using pirate tactics. And economic sabotage. The bulk of the maritime defense fell on the native Malays who served under the flag of Spain.

The Pre-hispanic Philippines did not have nor produces any significant mineral resources which was mined and smelted in vast quantities like those in South America.

Nor did any of the native "Malays" have any organized economic activity that manufacture any specific quality goods like silk or porcelain. Which were desired for its enormous profits in the European market.

Spain could not have plundered nor raped the Philippines because there is nothing to plunder nor rape in the Philippines. The real truth is that the Philippines have been subsidized by yearly funds from the coffers of Spain.

Which some appointed governors pocketed and never disbursed. Hence the mutinies and local rebellions because of unpaid wages and unecessary excessive raising of tribute. While other governors did spend what Spain sent to the Philippines where it should be.

It was left therefore for the American colonizers and the Chinese illegal immigrants and their descendants to exploit the Philipines' natural resources, and native Filipinos, get rich and make them their servants and puppets in their own country.
