JUN ZERRUDO EXPLAINS

Sir Bob Navida:

Thank you for expressing your reaction to a momentous event.

First of all if you study very carefully the historical background of this "surprise" event you would be very saddened indeed but not surprised. Unfortunately you'll have to go back three years and dig through the voluminous emails, editorials, news reports and articles written and exchanged by and among many many brother Knights of Rizal in Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Philippines. You will learn as you evidently are not aware of OKR's sad story in the recent past, that the questions you ask are at the tail end of a long long list of similar questions that have been asked of various people and that have not been given attention to much less answered by those responsible to resolve them.

In fairness to you however I will try to shed some "light" on your questions:

1. On whose authority does the conceptualization and establishment of such Federation came from?

As you "review" the events prior to the one you are focused on at this time you will be surprised to discover that way back in 2006 a similar question was asked: "On whose or what authority does a Consultant to the Supreme Commander claim to have to whimsically appoint a chapter member to the position of Chapter Commander in replacement of a very much alive, duly elected and very active sitting Chapter Commander?" Similarly, "On whose or what authority does a member of the Regional Council have to publicly proclaim more than once in his column in a local newspaper that members of an active and dues paying chapter are "no longer Knights of Rizal"? You see, Mr. Navida, I can go on and on with questions about the subject of "authority" as applied or rather, misapplied by many individuals in the organization whether in Canada, Europe, the Philippines or elsewhere. But unfortunately for you, those questions which to date remain unanswered take precedence over your own. As they say, you'll have to take a number and join the line. By the way, since when did authority and conceptualization go together?

2. Was it supported by the by-laws or the constitution of the Philippines?

Constitution of the Philippines? By-Laws (of the Philippines)? Mr. Navida, what in the world are you talking about?

3. Is it legal?

Come on now, Sir Bob, you can't be serious. You know that "legal" is a funny word.

5. Are we telling for fact that we need a coup-de'etat to establish what we wanted the council to hear?

Excuse me but you lost me there. You'll have to explain this last one.

But then again, please don't bother. I suggest you spend your time reviewing some more. I suggest that you read and study "meditatingly" every single sentence contained in "A Call to Glory", "Declaration of Freedom", "The Scarborough Manifesto" and the "Petition" all of which you can find in the web pages of the Scarborough Chapter's website and some in other Rizalian sites (e.g., laonglaan blog). But if you cannot find them I will gladly email you copies of the same.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Yours in Rizal,

Subject: AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL KNIGHTS OF RIZAL

Good day to all of you my Brother,

I have been reviewing and meditating on the issues being trialed by publicity and i have almost, done listening to both sides ( thru email). However, during the course of my research and studies of all the facts and situtations, a letter of invitation has offended me, not only my stature as a member of the Knights of Rizal, but as a Flipino.

I am so saddened and surpirsed by the establishment pof a New FEderatino of the Knights of Rizal abroad! My questions:

1. On whose authority does the conceptualization and establishment of such Federation came from?

2. Was it supported by the by-laws or the constitution of the Philippines?

3. Is it legal?

4. Who are the Knights behind this actions?

5. Are we telling for fact that we need a coup-de'etat to establish what we wanted the council to hear?

My brother, attached on this email are letters from fellow Knights on very important matter, I believe that this is the real issue and should be addressed as soon as possible.
I encourage everyone to be dilligent and use the course of law or relevant means in resolving any situation pertaining to our brotherhood.

Let us not waste our time lingering on these issues. We must act on how we can make our ties and organization more relieable, stronger and credible!

I am Proud to be a member of the Order of the knights of Rizal...

I am Proud to stand in front of anyone and says that my conscience is clean, clear and free from any malice.
