Although controversial, there are a number of health professionals and cancer survivors claiming there is evidence to support that baking soda, or more specifically sodium bicarbonate, can cure cancer. According to The American Cancer Society, this method is not scientifically supported, but there are still people who say otherwise.
According to Natural News, the theory of baking soda curing cancer is that cancer is formed from a yeast build up in the body or from candida-type infections, and sodium bicarbonate kills off this yeast, therefore eliminating the cancer. Even former cancer patients, most namely Vernon Johnston, have come out supporting the use of baking soda in conjunction with other ingredients as having cured them of cancer, although no medical evidence supports these theories.
