OPEN LETTER TO SIR ESGUERRA, IF HE IS REALLY A FOLLOWER OF DR JOSE RIZAL

Knowing yourself, what you committed, ommitted, failed or refused to do, what you neglected during your time, despite the numerous VALID & SPECIFIC charges raised against your failed "leadership" (from as far away as Europe and North America, and even back home in the Philippines!) that continously pull the Illustrious KOR to shame and filth, please RESIGN for the sake of delicadeza!

Lazir once more furnishes one of his numerous e-mail charges below, so you have a chance to reply, line-by-line!

Those in the know are aware of the dictum, "innocent until proven guilty!" That applies to you, yes of course!

Yet, the same individuals in the know also understand that silence over time on your part, is implied admission of guilt! If not incompetence, pure and simple! Or both?

Since you are the acting Supreme Commander and accused at the same time, who refuses to step down (at least to preserve the honorrable position!...keep it free from malice for the next Supreme Commander!), you could influence the jury selection/formation and subsequent deliberations of the case at bar -- yours!

Even Dr Jose Rizal, whom you profess to be an ardent follower of, would never ever sit tight nor cling (kapit-tuko!) upon a position, high or low, where there's but the smallest taint of anomaly upon his name and honor! Such was the National Hero that many readers here dearly treasure and are familiar with.

Character-wise, and despite your avid use of Rizalian quotes and verses, you are too far to be near the National Hero's mold!, an ignominious day for the KOR indeed!

In the almost two years you sat as acting Supreme Commander, you never did and still do not possess (not even show!) the Honesty, Integrity, Honor, Principles, etc. etc., Dr Jose Rizal all had in his (well-guarded by the National Hero in his) entire lifetime!

Sir Virgilio Esguerra, please resign without delay, because your actions have been proven by Lazir beyond reasonable doubt, to be contradictory (in thoughts, in words, and in deeds!) and strange to the Rizalian teachings you speak most often of..., TOTALLY INIMICAL TO THE INTERESTS of the Illustrious KOR!

To use your own words: "Nakakahiya" po kayo Sir Esguerra! Tinimbang po namin kayo, subali't talagang kulang!

For Country, KOR and people!

:)
Lazir
(...nothing personal against Sir Esguerra... let's not pretend to be what we are not... "yun lang po!")

P.S. - Please also quantify/qualify your allegations against Lazir per Memo 006, series of 2008! For the sake of fairness, kindly make them specific, so Lazir can reply to them one-by-one!

Who do we follow, Esguerra/Quiambao or Dr Jose Rizal...?

Allcon,

Sorry to dampen the spirits of some, but who amongst us outside the Philippines (or perhaps even Manila) really had a chance to cast a valid vote that did matter, or bring change?

Talking about elections, who really amongst us wanted "the same procedure as last year?" (Ms Sophie's 90th with James!)

"ELECTED" is relative..."ceteris parebus". Was there a level playing field before, during (elections) and as votes were getting counted?

Why, if Lazir may ask, is electronic balloting not put in place? (Every January foreign chapter dues! But when election time comes, "the foreign Knights abroad cannot vote!" Ooops!)

History is full of names of leaders past who also always got "re-elected" (achieving mostly 95-99% of total votes counted!): Iraq's Saddam, Cuba's Castro, North Korea's Kim, China's Mao, East Germany's Honecker, Rumania's Caeucescu, just to name some!

Nothing really spectacular, as it was public knowledge, their institutions (that ought to conduct 'Checks and Balances') were mere "rubber stamps"! (Who appointed or handpicked the KOR Election Committee members?)

Will RY 2008-2010's Supreme Council or Council of Elders be a "rubber stamp" of the Esguerra-Quiambao tandem? Will their deliberations on "Exaltations to KCRs/KGORs/KGCRs" be transparent, e-mailed to the General Membership, domestic and foreign? Or will we see continuation of further Exaltations of the UNDESERVING (Aug-Sep 2008 meet in Canada)?

Lazir didn't write R.A. 646 nor the KOR By-Laws. But Esguerra should, if the Council of Elders of 2007/2008 would do their job and investigate, be required to reimburse the KOR all funds spent for his July 2007 Paris, France trip, now that we know he as acting Supreme Commander, exalted the UNDESERVING! (If Council of Elders won't do it, perhaps the Supreme Council?)

Someone asked Lazir why he writes non-STOP!

Lazir's answer is simple:

1. UPHOLDING Dr Jose Rizal LEGACY is a duty of a real Filipino and a true Knight of (Dr Jose P.) Rizal!
2. Who should defend the country's patrimony, if not us Filipinos?
3. Before we ask any neighbor to help clean our house (of corruption and corrupt practices!), we have to first do our own "housecleaning" ourselves!
4. Didn't Dr Jose Rizal address his work (writings) to the Filipino youth, to the women, to Filipino priests, to us all?
5. If in his youth Lazir was busy putting his life in order, had no time, now he can HEED the National Hero's call!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is as simple as those above!

It's the word of Esguerra and Quiambao against the word and LEGACY of Dr Jose Rizal!

For those who misuse/abuse Dr Jose Rizal's legacy and name, the "writings are on the wall!"

For all of us, the discerning readers, the lines have been drawn on the sand! Let us do it...!

For country and People!

:)
Lazir

A true Knight's duty it is to speak up for those who can't, won't! Rizalists cannot afford to pretend to be honorable, if there's NOTHING of value within. (Medals/Sashes are outside!) By singing praises to falsehood, we become one with FILTH/Moral Decay! Nothing Rizalian and honorable in FILTH/Moral Decay!

IFKOR Membership (Maybe Change the Name to IFR or IFOR)

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Sirs and Ladies, Brothers and Sisters, etc., etc:

Please bear with me as I try to explain a few things that are of interest to us all.

First of all, let me state that there can be as many ideas on Rizalism, on being a Rizalist or on the concept of a Rizalist organization as there are people who care about anything and everything associated with the man Rizal.

However, as far as IFKOR is concerned, just to put things in proper perspective I am certain we in this group are aware that the International Federation of Knights of Rizal is not just another Rizalist organization with perhaps a new idea on how to advance the cause of Rizalism. Its establishment is in truth and in fact a direct reaction to the failings of the Manila-based Order of the Knights of Rizal.

The reaction is borne of (1) the realization by the founding members of IFKOR that such failings were symptomatic of an organization that did not evolve with the changing times as it should gradually have over the years; (2) the recognition that the mindset of many of those in the Philippines are neither ready nor willing to accept and welcome ideas from other cultures that are otherwise radically different from what is traditionally Filipino and 3) the determination that the only meaningful effort or the only way that will effectuate true and lasting positive change is one that comes from the grassroots level.

In other words, the Federation is in essence a revolutionary movement intended to instigate the replacement of the dysfunctional, archaic, incompetent and irrelevant colonial-type made-only-for-Filipinos-in-the-Philippines corporation with one that is both truly global in scope and universal in outreach. The foundational concept remains the same - that is, the upholding of the traditional intentions of the charter members of the 'Orden de Caballeros de Rizal' in 1911.

While IFKOR was founded only in March 17, 2008 its beginnings can actually be traced back to 2005 when the Scarborough Manifesto was issued. That document paved the way for the establishement of the Knights of Rizal Reform Movement (KRRM). The late Sir Peter Eisele of Germany was himself a staunch member of KRRM. When Sir Peter decided later on that the reform initiative was going nowhere or rather, that the fraternal organization as we know it is hopeless, both he and I exchanged ideas on which route to take: either to completely break away and start a completely different organization or take a different and more radical approach to bring about reformation within the existing brotherhood. The resulting 'La Liga Solidaridad' and 'IFKOR' are hence the expressions of our separate choices. IFKOR has indeed taken a completely new route: that of TRANSFORMATION, in place of reformation.

In March of 2008 when Sir Lino Reyes first excitedly joined the Federation, he agreed with the notion that IFKOR is the right vehicle that will rebuild the dilapidated house in Manila. But because of his misunderstanding of some legal ramifications such as the name "Knights of Rizal" he quickly backtracked and started to suggest that the Federation be changed into something completely different. Which is what some of us are inclined to suggest at this time, albeit for reasons other than those submitted by Sir Lino.

As I explained at length in many previous emails, if we merely wanted to create an organization that has no relation (historically or otherwise) with the Knights of Rizal or the 'Orden de Caballeros de Rizal', we would not have initiated the Federation at all. We could have simply joined 'La Liga', Rizal Society of Ontario, or come up with something else altogether. But that was not the plan and that was not the intention. They still are not.

However, within the Federation there are admittedly a number of issues that are worthy of consideration. For example the use of such titles as 'Sir', 'Lady', 'KOR', 'KCR', 'KGOR' and 'KGCR'. As a progressive organization IFKOR certainly should be open to suggestions, and it is - BUT only as IFKOR and not as another. To decide to make it different is to decide in essence to dissolve the corporation, sadly, just as it is taking its first steps.

Lastly, I should point out that while the purpose of the International Conference on Rizal in September is to determine what are 'Rizalian Principles' and in what practical applications can those principles be used, it is possible that as a result of the coming together of Rizalists in this event, an international association of many Rizalist organizations may by design be established. One that IFKOR can be a part of. That, I think, is the appropriate avenue where the new suggestions can be given due and full recognition.

I hope that I have shed some light on these matters. How I wish we have the luxury of time to exhaust all possibilities but really, with all due respect to everyone, we should concentrate at the moment on the preparations for the Conference. Let us see how things play out at that event or as a consequence of the same. I humbly ask for your patience and understanding. As the saying goes, "the world is not going to end tomorrow", or at least I have no reason to believe it will.

God bless us all!

Yours sincerely in Rizal,

Jun Zerrudo

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO THE LAW AND ORDER IN THE PHILIPPINES?

I'D LIKE TO TELL YOU MY SON'S EXPERIENCE WITH THE MANILA POLICE LAST WEDNESDAY EVENING AT ABOUT 10PM.

CHRISTIAN WENT TO THE CONDO AT THE CORNER OF VITO CRUZ AND TAFT AVE. TO RETURN HIS COUSIN'S LAPTOP. HE HANDED THE LAPTOP TO HIS COUSIN AND WENT BACK TO THE CAR. WHEN HE GOT TO THE CAR, THERE WAS A COP WHO ASKED HIM WHAT HE WAS DOING THERE; WHY HE WAS PARKED ON A NO PARKING AREA.

CHRISTIAN SAID, IF IT WERE A NO PARKING AREA WHY IS IT THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF CARS PARKED.

THE COP TOLD HIM TO OPEN HIS TRUNK AND CHRIS ASKED, WHY? DO YOU HAVE A WARRANT? ANYWAY, THE CAR DOORS AND WINDOWS WERE OPEN AND ANOTHER COP SEARCHED THE INTERIOR WHILE ANOTHER OPENED THE TRUNK. IN THE TOOLBOX THEY FOUND THE PLASTIC END OF SPARK PLUGS. THE COP SAID IT WAS A PARAPHARNALIA. THE SAME COP BROUGHT TO THE TRUNK USED PLASTIC SACHETS OF SHABU AND STARTED TO SHOUT "DRUGS 'TO!", "DRUGS!"

SO THEY TOOK CHRISTIAN, TO THE ATM OF BPI. THEY SAW HIS CARD AND ASKED HIM TO WITHDRAW ALL HIS MONEY. FORTUNATELY HE DOES NOT KEEP HIS MONEY THERE. ONLY HIS SALARY IS DEPOSITED THERE. SO THE COPS WE INSISTED THAT HE WAS A DRUG USER. AND MY SON WAS SAYING DO A TEST NOW SO THEY'LL SEE IF HE'S POSITIVE. HE SAID I CAN'T WORK IN MANDARIN AS A CHEF IF I'M A DRUG USER. HE SAID HE HAD TO GET POLICE, NBI, BARANGAY, COURT AND MEDICAL CLEARANCE BEFORE HE COULD START WORKING. THEN THE POLICE TOOK HIM TO POLICE HEAD-QUARTERS AT UN AVE. AND THERE FORCED HIM TO EAT SHABU.

IT TOOK A WHILE BEFORE HE ATE IT. SIX COPS WERE PUNCHING HIM AND SCARING HIM WITH THEIR GUNS UNTIL THE POOR GUY PEED IN HIS PANTS OUT OF FEAR. HE HAD TO SWALLOW THE DRUG. THEN THE COPS STARTED TO LAUGH. NOW WE'LL SEE IF YOU ARE NEGATIVE OF SHABU. "200,000PHP AND WE'LL LET YOU GO OR THIS WILL BE AT THE FISCALS OFFICE IN THE MORNING. CALL YOUR FRIENDS AND PARENTS. THIS ORDEAL STARTED AT 10PM. HE WAS ABLE TO CALL ME AT 5AM THE FOLLOWING DAY. POOR SON OF MINE WAS REALLY TRAUMATIZED. A FRIEND OF HIS CAME WITH TWENTY THOUSAND THE COPS GRABBED IT AND LET HIM GO AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED.

I WAS IN LIPA ALL THE TIME THIS WAS HAPPENING. CHRIS LATER FOUND OUT FROM HIS COUSIN THAT SEVEN OF HER FRIENDS WERE ALSO APPREHENDED BY THE SAME GROUP OF COPS AND ALSO TOOK THEM TO THEIR ATM'S. THEY GOT ALL THEIR MONEY IN THE ACCOUNT. THIS COP IS CAPT.MENDOZA OF THE MOBIL GROUP AND SARGENT GAVINO.

IF YOU GUYS KNOW INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE SERVICE, PLEASE LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS. I WOULD ALSO LIKE FOR THEM TO RETURN THE MONEY THEY TOOK FROM MY SON SO HE COULD GIVE IT BACK TO HIS FRIEND. THE MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS SO CALLED POLICE OFFICERS THE BETTER.

THIS IS THE TYPE OF GOVERNMENT THAT WE HAVE NOW. DISARM THE POPULATION AND THIS TYPE OF ABUSE HAPPENS. THANKS AND PASS IT ON.

MORE ON CHITO M. COLLANTES...

Sympathy found between Shit and Syphilis in the dictionary...!

Here's a few tidbits about this guy Chito Collantes.

1. Mahilig magpapapel (loves to take the limelight). When there's a community cause, as in the drive for the Filipino Centre Toronto, he was quick to pledge in front of Ambassador Benedicto and the press $10,000.00. He did it to one man up Mann Nacario who pledged $5,000.00.

Was the money actually given? Those connected with the project said he did not. Suggestion: request for a copy of the receipt. As a businessman, he would have asked for a receipt for such a huge contribution for tax purposes, right?

When there's a disaster as when the Leyte mudslide happened, he would quickly call the TV stations and he would be interviewed all over the tube asking for donation. But some questions appear.

Follow this link:
http://www2.sunstar.com.ph/specials/leytemudslide2006/index.php?addeditflag=&pagectr=13&SID

(I went to the website and found this entry in the forum, 2006-02-23 12:17:19 "leon palakain" < toron-to@yahoo.com > My Friends, especially, from leyte here in Toronto, be careful of your donations. Dont ever give your support to a certain Chito Collantes, he run the money of the Calgary organization, when he was the treasurer there. Be careful always, if you want to help give it to the church that has a program for that.)

When there's a community party, he would make a grand entrance with his cohorts in tow, and would proceed right away to the stage where he would take the mike and hold it until the end of the party, effectively taking over. In most cases he was not even invited in the first place.

I was told by a friend of mine that she regretted inviting Chito to a business seminar attended by 200 people where the speaker was the president of the company who flew all the way from Singapore to give a speech. Chito interrupted the president several times, and finally completely cut her off, by saying her speech was too long and everyone was tired. He then instructed the audience to stand up and do calesthenics. The lady president was dumbfounded.

Sir David Chan, the commander of the KOR's Chinese Chapter is no friend of Chito. It started when Chito appeared non invited to a meeting with Mr. Chan's chapter and the Chinese community. Chito appeared out of nowhere and took over the meeting, much to the chagrin of David.

He did get his comeuppance when he appeared, again uninvited in a meeting with the Ladies of Rizal (Sir Jun Zed was there). Knowing his penchant for taking over the meeting, the chapter president asked Chito's great aunt (the cousin of Ka Miling) to talk to him. She berated him, told him to get the hell out for he was not invited. Chito retreated in a hurry.

This is a well publicized event that happened at the Mabuhay Festival at the Toronto Convention Centre last August. Chito came up the stage (he was not in the program) and started to give a long talk disrupting the flow of the program. Cameras immediately shot Rosemere Inverga the program director whose face was so angry you could not paint it with Michaelangelo's brush.

Many more are coming. Abangan (wait, for more)!

QUESTIONABLE, UNACCEPTABLE and DESPICABLE decision of nomination committee...! ...and Sir Esguerra...!

Good Morning,

Seven things Lazir wants to say:

FIRST. This e-mail did not come from Ms Maureen Fernandez. She doesn't write that curtly but more lady-like and politely. Did Sir Esguerra write this, using Ms Fernandez's PC?

SECOND. Sir Barry Bowman, Sir Peter Eisele (deceased), Sir Don Brennock, Sir Lucien Spittael are four honorable Knights that got racistically attacked personally by Sir Alcoba!, living PROOF that those racistic tirades did happen! Those racistic e-mails were public knowledge and read by many! Lazir's complaint is not from racistic attacks of last week or last month (2008), but from last year, 2007! Fact is, Sir Barry has been seeing Sir Esguerra the past several weeks and was told/promised forthcoming RESULTS! It brought NOTHING because there apparently was NO INVESTIGATION in the first place! (Where is the Memo? Lazir is being investigated per Memo 006, series of 2008! Where is the Memo "investigating: Sir Paras and Sir Alcoba?)

Sir Dr Fritz Hack-Ullmer, Sir Lucien (holds MP3 proof of Sir Paras' racistic language!) are personal witnesses of racistic attacks against Europeans by Sir Paras in the Black Forest, Germany!

The INACTION complaint against Sir Esguerra is therefore valid because Sir Esguerra did nothing against Sir Paras and Sir Alcoba, since last year 2007 till April 2008! To say there is lack of time is just another big lie!

Therefore, Sir Esguerra deserves DISQUALIFICATION for

1. CONDUCT UNBECOMING of a KOR Official for his inaction!
2. GRAVE ABUSE OF DISCRETION for doing nothing!
3. GROSS IGNORANCE OF THE LAW (violation of Sections 2 & 4 of the Republic Act 646) for knowing the law but not following the language and spirit of the said Law!
4. GROSS NEGLIGENCE for not doing his job as expected of an acting Supreme Commander!

THIRD. The Sir Pros Schlachmuylders disqualification seems to be another "Filipino Muna" scheme that must have been hatched by IHQ (Sir Esguerra and Sir Quiambao?)! I have nothing personal against Sir Poblete, Canada, but his insertion and the Sir Pros disqualification gives an unpleasant aftertaste reminiscent of the Sir Paras appointment that was more a "hoodwink" of Sir Hilario to disregard the previuosly signed appointment for Sir Lucien! It is but mere coincidence that Sir Pros is a Belgian Knight like Sir Lucien. Sir Pros, an honorable Knight through and through, in good standing ALWAYS and all the time, was nominated by a Belgian officer (Sir Dominiek Segaert) and chapter, also in good standing! The excuse that Sir Don Brennock is from Ireland is not worthy any mention considering that Sir Pros and Sir Don are both men of honor and are both able Officers in their own rights and they work for the GOOD of the KOR! (Compare these two fine gentlemen with the blatant INACTION of Sir Esguerra towards the complaints against Sir Paras & Sir Alcoba, that is nothing but favoritism, pure and
simple!)

To strictly cite the By-Laws just to disqualify Sir Pros but be lenient upon Sir Esguerra who IGNORED Sections 2 & 4 of the R.A. 646, mother of the KOR Constitution and By-Laws, is GRAVE ABUSE OF DISCRETION AS WELL AS GROSS IGNORANCE OF THE LAW by the deciding Committee!

Therefore, the Sir Pros disqualification is null and void ab initio!

FOURTH. Sir Reynold Mateo is Area Commander for Rizal Province, the same province where Sir Esguerra from Taytay, Rizal is reportedly the provincial administrator and the same Taytay, Rizal town where Sir Paras is reported to own two homes!

FIFTH. This is a QUESTIONABLE, UNACCEPTABLE and DESPICABLE decision of nomination committee...! This is adding INSULT to INJURY, mildly formulated...!

SIXTH. Sir Pros, Sir Dominiek, and other right thinking Knights, it's time to join the newly-established International Federation of Knights of Rizal (IFKOR) that could eventually uphold the LEGACY of the National Hero as the present weak, indecisive, scheming, IHQ Leadership of Sir Esguerra and his backers (most prominent, Sir Quiambao?) continues to sow shame bringing the illustrious KOR downhill to perdition!

SEVENTH. Ms Maureen Fernandez apologized for the IHQ error that excluded Wilhelmsfeld-Heidelberg Chapter from the list of chapters in good standing, which could NOT have been her mistake, but (perhaps?) intentionally done by a scheming "someone" in IHQ to discredit the aforesaid Illustrious Wilhelmsfeld-Heidelberg Chapter by ommission, commission, exclusion and similar acts for the non-stop but valid writings Lazir hurls at the incompetent (sihonorable, tyrannical?) "leadership" by Sir Esguerra! The error can be corrected. But the DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE to the detriment of the Wilhelmsfeld-Heidelberg Chapter that ultimately redounds inimically to the illustrious and good name as well as the interests of the KOR!

Vote for the Legacy of the National Hero, Dr Jose Rizal, by voting (with intelligence and wisdom) if not voting with your feet by joining IFKOR (
www.rizalcanada.org) where Rizalism is alive and upright as well as right thinking women/men have a place reserved! come 25 May 2008 elections!

For Country, KOR and People!

TOO HOT TO HANDLE!

The Hanjin investments in RP, too big not to be seen by Arroyo

Dear Editor,

Senator Pia Cayetano is right in seeking a congressional inquiry into the allegations of environmental violations, bribery and extortion in the shipyards project by the giant South Korean firm Hanjin Heavy Industries, Inc.

There may be some truth to the rumor that government officials from top to bottom have received bribes, have extorted grease money or have demanded humongous sums for the approval of the Hanjin projects in this country (the $1.68 billion and the $2 billion shipyards in Subic, Zambales and Misamis Oriental respectively) which when combined are almost ten times as big as the botched $329-million NBN-ZTE deal where the Arroyo couple are said to have figured prominently.

It is hard to believe that the palace does not have a hand in its approval. A foreign project of this magnitude could not have started construction work without Arroyo's imprimatur. The ruler of the nation who sits in imperial Malacanang may say that she preferred to be the "chieftain of a village than to be the second man of Manila," but that, in her opinion does not give him the right to defy her orders.

Tagoloan Mayor Paulino Emano may have wanted a piece of the cake so he ordered the work stoppage, apparently to force his demand for a P400-million work contract but which Hanjin alleged was being extorted from it by the local executive. In doing so he angered Arroyo who scolded and punished him with all those wicked tongue lashes that made him speechless and sad after the reprimand.

Emano have scratched the surface of what may prove to be a gargantuan scandal. Its disclosure would surely add more fire to the already burning issue of rampant corruption happening with apparent consent, approval or abetment of this government.

The indiscriminate commission of corrupt activities we believe the highest officials and their gang of cohorts commit have plunged our country into the abyssmal depths of infamy shame and have caused immeasurable damage to the country and its people that we sometimes think that it can no longer be saved.

Lito Banayo was damn right in writing that corruption in this country is all over, from top to bottom and has become a way of life. With "a proven failure, a proven liar, a proven cheat, and a proven thief at the helm of today's leadership....," Banayo continued, "who's to ensure she and her cohorts would fade quietly into the night after the constitutional term is over?"

Constitutional? How can we consider a stolen presidency constitutional? How can we call a proven cheat who cheated her opponent by a million votes (courtesy of Garci and those generals like Esperon, et al) a constitutionally elected president?

Gloria Arroyo is not a duly elected president of this country and she knows it. The majority of this benighted nation's population does not accept her as such. . And she punishes them for their defiance by staying in the position where they do not wanted her to be.

PETITION TO DISQUALIFY VIRGILIO ESGUERRA!

The motion was submitted 06 May 2008, sufficient time for the above concerned Committees to timely and prudently act.

A. - Esguerra supports proven racists?

The motion is valid, considering that Virgilio Esguerra was a total failure (how else should one describe an acting Supreme Commander who prostituted the illustrious KOR for his egoistic goals that were contradictory to what he promised to do?) for accepting the position of acting Surpreme Commander but didn't lift even a finger to discipline proven racistic members Paras and Alcoba.

B. - Esguerra violated the KOR Constitution and By-Laws?

Specific Esguerra violations of the R.A. 646 and the KOR By-Laws, to wit:

Sec 2, R.A 646: "...dedicated service to country and people." - Was Esguerra's RY 2007-2008 service dedicated to someone else he must have been beholden to? ...definitely not to country and people! Esguerra could have dismissed proven racists, the undeserving KGORs, bad eggs and scalawags, but he did not!

Sec 4, R.A. 646: "all persons..., of good moral character and reputation..." - By not expelling nor disciplining proven racists in the KOR, Esguerra destroyed his own reputation. Clearly, an error of his own doing! Esguerra cannot blame Lazir nor any reporter for writing about his misdeeds!

We in the know, saw it with our own eyes, how hard Sir Barry tried to get answers from IHQ. The frequent reply from Esguerra's IHQ was "under ivestigation!"

By the time 25 May 08 elections come, all these will become "moot and academic" as Esguerra's and Paras' terms ends, co-terminus with the appointing body (Supreme Council) that also cease to exist 25 May 08!

As acting Supreme Commander, Esguerra, in the company/presence of Quiambao, exalted undeserving KGORs last July 2007 in Paris, France, namely: Alcoba, Nollas, Guansing (of these three KGORs, the latter, Sir Guansing, may have qualified, depending upon what he did...)

Did Esguerra or Quiambao exalt other undeserving "Knights" somewhere else? How about in the US mainland, in Canada (Sir Chito Collantes? Or Sir George Poblete?), in the Philippines?

Why is it that the Wilhelmsfeld-Heidelberg Chapter is NOT IN GOOD STANDING? Who made those counting? Who validated and checked those numbers and figures?

If this motion is rejected (or ignored) by the concerned/addressed committee chairpersons Sir Reynold and Sir Eugenio above, readers of this e-mail may interpret such rejection/inaction on their part as connivance pure and simple, to the unRizalian acts of Esguerra.

THEREFORE, Lazir fervently prays for DISQUALIFICATION of Esguerra from the List of nominated individuals running for the position of KOR Supreme Council Trustee!

FROM NOW ON, let all ours ACTS be solely guided by the concrete examples shown us by Dr Jose Rizal..., in thoughts, in words and in deeds!

For Country and People!

WANTED: A FEW GOOD MEN (AND WOMEN)

By Dr. Rusty Balderian

Most of us overseas Filipinos talk a lot about the problems in the Philippines with passion. We praise ourselves as modern day heroes. We think that we are better morally than those in the Philippines because they are corrupt, poor, and less educated. We think we have the best solutions to improve our country. We talk and write with highfalutin' words to show others that we have the best verbal and written command of English. That's all we are good at. But talk is cheap.

If we are really serious in our desire to help our nation, let's go back to the Philippines and do the job right the way we want it done. Let us stop complaining. Let us stop talking. Let's roll our sleeves and do it ourselves like the retired navy officer from Vallejo, California, Congressman Teodulo "Doloy" Coquilla of Eastern Samar, and businessmen from Los Angeles, California, Congressman Rosendo Labadlabad of the 2nd District of Zamboanga del Norte, Ronald Golez, Mayor of Dumangas, Ilo-Ilo, and myself Mayor of TabonTabon, Leyte, to name a few.

Each one of us have been "successful" in our own way while living in the land of milk and honey. We decided to go back to the Philippines because like most of us, we believe that our nation needs help. We were newbies in the Philippine politics of the last May 2007 election. But we won. We surrendered our American Citizenship and Green Cards and left our comfortable homes and gas-guzzling cars because we believe that we can make a difference in our respective communities. We plan to implement the best practices that we have seen and learned in our adopted countries.

Before going back to the Philippines, we had our visions on how we can help improve our nation. However, we are having a hard time because we are very few, a little voice that can not be heard in the hallowed halls of Congress. We need more people to run for elective offices so we can make an effective change. Alone, we will just be eaten by the corrupt system. We will be infected by the same deadly virus that we call graft and corruption.

We are ineffective to make the change because we don't have the numbers. Politics is a numbers game. Good intentions doesn't mean a thing if we don't have the right number in the Municipal Council, Provincial Development Council or in Congress and Senate. Let us stop criticizing the leaders running the country. Let us be the leaders running our nation,. Let us replace the "trapos", actors, and musicians in Congress and the Senate for an effective governance of our nation.

Stop dreaming for a better Philippines. Let us work for it. "Kung hindi dito, saan? Kung hindi ngayon, kailan?, Kung hindi ako, sino ang gagawa nito para sa Filipino?" Let this be a challenge to all the leaders of the global Filipinos to go back to the Philippines and run an elective position in 2010 so we can solve the problems that beseech our nation. Let us stop talking about the problems.

We need a concerted effort to get rid of the problems. We need to form a party whose candidates will all be coming from the Overseas Filipinos. Idealistic, vibrant, educated, technologicaly savvy, full of good ideas, noble, morally upright and most of all, free from the deadly virus of graft and corruption.

I'm sure we can find among the eight million Filipinos in diaspora, one thousand five hundred good men and women to run as Mayors in their respective towns, two hundred forty good men and women to run for Congress in their respective districts, Twelve good men and women to run for Senate, and one good man/woman that we can rally behind to run for President. It cannot be done on an individual effort as what some of us have done. Dr. Martin Bautista a successful medical practitioner from the East Coast had the same dream to help improve our country. He returned to the Philippines and ran for the Senate in the last election under the Kapatiran Party, a very noble organization, but lost.

Individually, we are weak even if we have the best resume, good intentions and sizable personal resources to back us up when we run against the well entrenched traditional politicians.

A united overseas Filipinos is a very strong force to reckon with. Imagine if the 8 million Filipinos in diaspora who send 12 Billion dollars annually to the Philippines can dictate to their dependents in the Philippines who to vote for in this coming 2010 election?!! At an average of 5 voters under this sphere of influence, that is a whopping 40 million votes. Candidates of the United OFW/OF will no longer have to buy votes to be elected. If the 8 million OFW donates Fifty Dollars to the United OFW/OF, that is Four Hundred million dollars as party funds.

This can be used as a counterpart to the amount of campaign funds that a candidate can raise through donation only. Elected government officials will no longer have to take the ten percent "SOP" in all infrastructure projects since they have no massive campaign expenses to recoup. Graft and corruption will be history. There will be no political debts to pay except to the Filipino people.

WHY WE ARE POOR

by Francisco Sionil Jose

What did South Korea look like after the Korean War in 1953? Battered, poor - but look at Korea now. In the Fifties, the traffic in Taipei was composed of bicycles and Army trucks, the streets flanked by tile-roofed low buildings. Jakarta was a giant village and Kuala Lumpur a small village surrounded by jungle and rubber plantations. Bangkok was criss-crossed with canals, the tallest structure was the Wat Arun, the Temple of the Sun, and it dominated the city's skyline. Rice fields all the way from Don Muang Airport - then a huddle of galvanized iron-roofed bodegas, to the Victory monument.

Visit these cities today and weep - for they are more beautiful, cleaner and prosperous than Manila. In the Fifties and Sixties we were the most envied country in Southeast Asia. Remember further that when Indonesia got its independence in 1949, it had only 114 university graduates compared to the hundreds of Ph.D.'s which were already in our universities. Why then were we left behind? The economic explanation is simple. We did not produce cheaper and better products.

The basic question really is: why we did not modernize fast enough and thereby doomed our people to poverty. This is the harsh truth about us today. Just consider these: some 15 years ago a survey showed that half of all grade school pupils dropped out after grade 5 because they had no money to continue schooling. Thousands of young adults today are therefore unable to find jobs. Our natural resources have been ravaged and they are not renewable. Our tremendous population increase eats up all of our economic gains. There is hunger in this country now; our poorest eat only once a day.

But this physical poverty is really not as serious as the greater poverty that afflicts us and this is the poverty of the spirit.

Why then are we poor? More than ten years ago, James Fallows, editor of the Atlantic Monthly came to the Philippines and wrote about our damaged culture which, he asserted, impeded our development. Many disagreed with him but I do find a great deal of truth in his analysis. This is not to say that I blame our social and moral malaise on colonialism alone. But we did inherit from Spain a social system and an elite that, on purpose, exploited the masses. Then, too, in the Iberian peninsula, to work with one's hands is frowned upon and we inherited that vice as well. Colonialism by foreigners may no longer be what it was, but we are now a colony of our own elite.

We are poor because we are poor - this is not a tautology. The culture of poverty is self-perpetuating. We are poor because our people are lazy. I pass by a slum area every morning - dozens of adults do nothing but idle, gossip and drink. We do not save. Look at the Japanese and how they save in spite of the fact that the interest given them by their banks is so little. They work very hard too.

We are great show-offs. Look at our women, how overdressed, over-coiffed they are, and Imelda epitomizes that extravagance. Look at our men, their manicured nails, their personal jewelry, their diamond rings. Yabang - that is what we are, and all that money expended on status symbols, on yabang. How much better if it were channeled into production. We are poor because our nationalism is inward looking.

Under its guise we protect inefficient industries and monopolies. We did not pursue agrarian reform like Japan and Taiwan. It is not so much the development of the rural sector, making it productive and a good market as well. Agrarian reform releases the energies of the landlords who, before the reform, merely waited for the harvest. They become entrepreneurs, the harbingers of change. Our nationalist icons like Claro M. Recto and Lorenzo Tanada oppose agrarian reform, the single most important factor that would have altered the rural areas and lifted the peasant from poverty. Both of them were merely anti- American.

And finally, we are poor because we have lost our ethical moorings. We condone cronyism and corruption and we don't ostracize or punish the crooks in our midst. Both cronyism and corruption are wasteful but we allow their practice because our loyalty is to family or friend, not to the larger good.

We can tackle our poverty in two very distinct ways. The first choice: a nationalist revolution, a continuation of the revolution in 1896. But even before we can use violence to change inequities in our society, we must first have a profound change in our way of thinking, in our culture. My regret about EDSA is that change would have been possible then with a minimum of bloodshed. In fact, a revolution may not be bloody at all if something like EDSA would present itself again. Or a dictator unlike Marcos.

The second is through education, perhaps a longer and more complex process. The only problem is that it may take so long and by the time conditions have changed, we may be back where we were, caught up with this tremendous population explosion which the Catholic Church exacerbates in its conformity with doctrinal purity.

We are faced with a growing compulsion to violence, but even if the communist won, they will rule as badly because they will be hostage to the same obstructions in our culture, the barkada, the vaulting egos that sundered the revolution in 1896, the Huk revolt in 1949-53.

To repeat neither education nor revolution can succeed if we do not internalize new attitudes, new ways of thinking. Let us go back to basics and remember those American slogans: A Ford in every garage. A chicken in every pot. Money is like fertilizer: to do any good it must be spread around.

Some Filipinos, taunted wherever they are, are shamed to admit they are Filipinos. I have, myself, been embarrassed explain for instance why Imelda, her children and the Marcos cronies are back, and in positions of power? Are there redeeming features in our country that we can be proud of? Of course, lots of them. When people say for instance that our corruption will never be banished, just remember that Arsenio Lacson as mayor of Manila and Ramon Magsaysay as President brought a clean government.

We do not have the classical arts that brought Hinduism and Buddhism to continental and archipelago Southeast Asia, but our artists have now ranged the world, showing what we have done with Western art forms, enriched with our own ethnic traditions. Our professionals, not just our domestics, are all over, showing how an accomplished people we are!

Look at our history. We are the first in Asia to rise against Western colonialism, the first to establish a republic. Recall the Battle of Tirad Pass and glory in the heroism of Gregorio Del Pilar and the 48 Filipinos who died but stopped the Texas Rangers from capturing the President of that First Republic. Its equivalent in ancient history is the Battle of Thermopylae where the Spartans and their king Leonidas, died to a man, defending the pass against the invading Persians.

Rizal - what nation on earth has produced a man like him? At 35, he was a novelist, a poet, an anthropologist, a sculptor, a medical doctor, a teacher and martyr.

We are now 80 million and in another two decades we will pass the 100 million mark. Eighty million - that is a mass market in any language, a mass market that should absorb our increased production in goods and services - a mass market which any entrepreneur can hope exploit, like the proverbial oil for the lamps of China.

Japan was only 70 million when it had confidence enough and the wherewithal to challenge the United States and almost won. It is the same confidence that enabled Japan to flourish from the rubble of defeat in World War II.

I am not looking for a foreign power for us to challenge. But we have a real and insidious enemy that we must vanquish, and this enemy is worse than the intransigence of any foreign power. We are our own enemy. And we must have the courage, the will, to change ourselves.

WHERE IS THE MONEY?

Sirs Rizal and Manny it is unfortunate that this called LEADERS OF THE ORDER who can logically defend their IRREGULAR AND ANOMALOUS ACTIONS but instead resorted to LIES, DISTORTIONS, BLACK PROPAGANDA without any basis at all. Certainly, this goes to show, what kind of persons they are and, most of all, cannot even measure up to and follow by deeds the tenets, teachings and values of Dr. Rizal which is regrettable and yet they have quoted them most often in their letters/emails/utterances.

Indeed, ang sabi nga nila in their above utterances/letters/emails and in others, NAKAKAHIYA, LALONG BUMABAHO because they make it appear that members are defending their irregular and anomalous actions by deviating/distorting issues, but in reality, most of all, iisa lang pala ang gumagawa ng sulat subalit pinapirmahan sa iba – SIR FELIPE VIDAL, KCR na nasabing brother-in-law in Sir Ver, so, within the family affair pala ang nangyayari ngayon .

Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel, the author of that letter, as you said is SIR VER ESGUERRA, KGCR, or a.k.a. SIR FELIPE A. VITAL, KCR, or a.k.a. LEOPOLDO LOPEZ, KCR, or a.k.a. JOSE CARDOCE, KCR all seem lost and does not know what is actually happening in the Order: Maybe by reasons of being incept/complacent that’s why they resorted to lies/black propagranda/distortions of facts and issues to supposedly hide the true color of their persons.

Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel, in the Minutes of the Supreme Council meeting last May 5, 2007. line 23-31 and page 4 thereof, you will find

//Sir Gempesaw pointed out that during his leadership, there was a duly audited Financial Report submitted contrary to the rumors being circulated by some foreign knights. The acting Supreme Commander clarified that not just one leadership is being attacked by these knights. Sir Gempesaw requested that he be given copies of the allegations so that he can personally attend to these attacks. And there should be clear- cut action to stop these baseless allegations. // (Underlining Supplied)

Is my participation in the above meeting, when the matter of euro 5,000 was being discussed, which were subject of several emails months before, showing, GEMPESAW’s SILENCE!!! Marami silang sinasabi pero hindi nila alam kung ano ang official nangyayari sa meeting at ano ang katotohanan as clearly shown in above minutes. We officially requested copies of emails and other pertinent documents regarding this matter however, its very unfortunate that up to now we have not receive any documents for us to be able to study and if needed be prepare legal actions issue against those responsible for spreading wrongly about euro 5000.

Ito ba Sir Rizal, Manny and Angel, HINDI NAKAKAHIYA? Ito ba, hindi lalong BUMABAHO AT LUMALABO ang pagkatao nila? SHAME to the ORDER?

It is customary during our time to accordingly acknowledge donations made – official receipts issued, letter of thanks sent and names printed in the leadership institute souvenier program, – also, as indicated in official letters earlier sent to Sir Rizal Victoria and others, donations made by Sir Mushake, KGCR and others during our time, Rizalian year for 2003 and 2004, were duly acknowledge as follows.

However, we can not give more details for donations made during our time as Chairman of the Leadership Institute, Rizalian Year 2001-2002 since the required documents as requested earlier last May 5, 2007 were never forwarded. Moreover, as clearly acknowledge by having Sir Mushake, KGCR name appeared listed as donor in the souveneir programs of the leadership institute for Rizalian Year 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005 as follows:

They may not realize it but they are far too quick to pass judgment on others. they condemn others; they belittle them; they criticize them; them without even giving a thought that they MAY BE FAR WORSE OFF THAT THOSE WHOM THEY ARE JUDGING in terms of MORAL AND PERSONAL BEHAVIOURS. Look at the REAL SCORE now about the euro 5,000? Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel.

There is no amount of juggling of words can justify what Sirs Esguerra, KGCR, or a.k.a. Felipe S. Vital, KCR, or a.k.a. Jose Gardoce, KCR, or a.k.a. Leopoldo Lopez and others did, without an iota of proof, accused someone else wrongly. Professionals as they are: professor/high government officials, but acted improperly, NOW, can they do that to the then Supreme Commander, Rizalian Year 1999-2000 when the eu 5000 was actually donated…..SILENCE….. UNBREAKABLE SILENCE. SHAMEFUL SILENCE and SHAME to the Order. Where are their CREDIBILITY? PRIDE? DIGNITY? to be called a Knight

With utterly no basis other than malicious intentions partisan individuals with nothing else more vital to the Order in their minds and hearts, these Knights have maliciously maligned me by falsely claiming that I was the recipient of that euro 5000 of Sir Alex Mushake, KGCR, Now, as it is already shown, I have nothing to do whatsoever with that euro 5000 and yet they have not called the attention of that KNIGHT responsible therefore ----- Rizalian Year 1999-2000 SILENCE, UNBREAKABLE SILENCE, SHAMEFUL TO THE ORDER. WHY?? Is it because the Knight concern is their IDOL/MENTOR?

Without a shred of evidence, they falsely accused others whose only interest and abiding motivation is to strive for what is right and just and what ought to be.

We deplore the malicious treatment made by Sirs Ver Esguerra, KGCR, or a.k.a. Sir Felipe S. Vital, KCR, or a.k.a. Jose Gardoce, KCR, or a.k.a. Leopoldo Lopez thereby showing clearly their impropriety of displaying what are the truth and real facts.

In the interest of truth, fairness, sound logic and civility truly as a deserving Knight, let me point out these material facts, before they can successfully distort the truth and mislead anybody with their manipulated and formulated misrepresentations and distortion of pertinent truth. This is totally degrading for them to be called -- KNIGHTS.

Why is it may I ask you, Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel that now we have not heard from Sir Ver Esguerra, KGCR, Sir Felipe Vital, KCR, or a.k.a. Sir Jose Cardoce, KCR, or a.k.a. Sir Leopoldo Lopez regarding the Supreme Commander then when the donation was made. SILENCE, UNBREAKABLE SILENCE. Have you heard of any malicious comments from these MALICIOUS MINDS calling the attention of that concern Supreme Officer responsible thereof? As read in their previous emails UNDESERVED, NAKAKAHIYA, ARROGANT SILENCE, SHAMEFUL to the Order. The above emails are very clear proof and evidence of mental lapses and arrogance believing in their own manipulated untruthful assertions, or concoction in trying to deviate from the serious issues of irregular and anomalous actions. May I ask you, Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel. is this not mental anomaly? Is that the worst that can be said of members?

It’s very sad Sirs Rizal, Manny and Angel for KNIGHTS to make such an allegations without any iota of evidence to support their claim? Kahit ano pa ang sabihin mo, sira na din sila sa kalahatang myembro being UNTRUTHFUL. UNDESERVING KNIGHTS, SHAME to the Order.

Sirs Lazir, Manny and Angel, I am sure you can say that THEY FAILED MISERABLY TO MEASURE UP TO WHAT DR. RIZAL wrote to the Women of Malolos, Epistolario Rizalino, 11, No. 233, p. 124

“. . . piety does not consist in prolonged killing, long prayers, large rosaries, soiled scapulars, BUT IN GOOD CONDUCT, CLEAN CONSCIENCE. AND UPRIGHT THINKING.

. . . IT IS COWARDICE AND AN ERROR TO BELIEVE THAT BLIND OBEDIENCE IS PIETY AND IT IS ARROGANCE TO THINK AND TO REFLECT.

. . . true piety is OBEDIENCE TO WHAT IS RIGHT, HAPPEN WHAT MAY.”

“The GLORY OF SAVING ONE’S country CANNOT BE GIVEN TO ONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED TO ITS RUIN.”

Good luck to all of us.

NON OMNIS MORIAR
