Philippines, An Amazing Country!

By Ben Serrano

It only take four hours for an RTC Judge who was once fined by Supreme Court to have decided a case too long to issue Warrant of Arrest Order against beleaguered former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

But it takes months and estimated it will take a year for the Commission on Audit Caraga regional office to come up with an Special Audit Report for missing P53.3-M public funds entrusted by the People of the Philippines to the Department of Agriculture Caraga regional office. Amazing indeed!

Amazing again, it takes so easy for the Executive Branch of Philippine Government to issue WLO or Immigration Watch List Order for the Arroyos but it takes months and I don't know if until now a WLO was issued against DA-Caraga regional office disbursing office

Mariza Balaba Salise who according to DA officials themselves gone missing after the P53.3-M vanished into thin air too..Tsk tsk tsk..Unfortunately Salise did what Ate Glo failed to do because allegedly Salise is now in Canada. Hope not kasi nasalisihan sila..tsk tsk.

Swift Justice for people they hated most because it is allegedly the greatest theft this country ever produced but they forget to look around many thieves in the government stealing by the millions are just right smack in their faces talking to them and asking government projects so that another kickbacks they can get to buy votes again in 2013 local elections.

Ate Glo's fate sana would serve lessons in many angles in Philippine life. First, crime really does pay but let us follow rules of law.

If Ate Glo committed sins as what Matuwid Na Daan pronounced let us give her due process not swift processes as in Panandaliang Aliw. The effect on this to common Filipinos is very chilling, if they can do that to a moneyed ex-PGMA whom they alleged stole and abused people's money and trust, what about to common Filipinos? It is also bad precedent that if government itself can disobey the Highest Court of the land how much more ordinary Pinoys?

No matter what argument one will say depending on what side one belonged, clearly it is swift justice to PGMA but delayed justice to poor Filipinos languishing in rotting jails in this country some innocent but can't afford lawyers in the likes of top notch lawyers DOJ Sec Leila Delima and COMELEC's own shining brilliant lawyer Brillantes.. Uhmmm…the RTC thing brilliant move indeed.

Amazing again, COA in their official website www.coa.gov.ph did not post although posted but very difficult to access or cannot be access as of this writing, the 2010 Annual COA audit reports they made on five provinces, 67 municipalities and six cities for the year 2010.

In their website also for COA 2009 Annual Audit Reports, audit reports for some local government units in Caraga Region were not posted why?

If you surf COA website and click COA annual report, you will found 2009 audit reports from some local government units like Butuan City, Santiago and Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte as of this writing were not posted, why? Uhmmm.. maybe like CGMA it needs doctoring pa I mean doctor of medicines..hehehehe…

I think there is a need to take a second look on the Philippines' Sports Development Program as dismal result in the 2011 SEA Games in Indonesia would show our medal standing were deteriorating (like quality of Philippine Life deteriorating).

Our target is 72 gold medals but we only got 36 gold placing us in the sixth slot. Before Philippines used to occupy second medal standing among our ASEAN counterparts now we are near bottom.

Where are now jobs you promise Mayor, et al? In 2010 elections in all campaign sorties in 86 barangays (don't know if all of these barangays were covered), Butuan City Mayor Dr. Ferdinand Amante, Jr. and comrades in politics promised they have to change Butuan City and promised Jobs, livelihood and economic progress if not upliftment or a sort of relief of poverty situation in Butuan City.

They succeeded in toppling an administration they alleged has not give jobs and livelihood but only misery to estimated more or less 200,000 Butuan inhabitants

To date, nothing has significantly improve, jobs and livelihood in major recruitment are nowhere to be found.

Factories that were promised also went pfffttt!

Again where are now the jobs and economic upliftment you promised when you are now half way your term.

Just asking Sirs, from an ordinary poor citizen which has constitutional right to ask our government officials No pun or politics intended since am not politician neither affiliated to any politicians or group..

HOPE AND PRAY JOBS WILL COME SOON! (for your comments or suggestion just text 0915 2652236 or email at ben_star20022002@yahoo.com )
