I AM CERTAIN LENI ROBREDO knows that the ICC complaint versus China will NOT give Filipinos to who dislike the Chinese hope.

What she is doing is giving China haters false hope that's why I say, "ang sama 'nya." Binola na naman ang mga haters ni Duterte.

But wait... why should I feel bad. Ang binola 'nya ay ang mga Duterte haters lang naman eh.

Vice President Leni Robredo on Saturday thanked the former Philippine officials and fishermen for filing a complaint against Chinese President Xi Jinping before the International Criminal Court (ICC) as the effort gave Filipinos hope.

"Parang dinugtungan ulit iyong pag-asa sa ating mga puso, na mayroon pa naman pala tayong lakas na labanan iyong isang malaking entity kagaya ng China," said Robredo, who was in Tigaon, Camarines Sur.

"Kaya iyong sa atin lang, nagpapasalamat din tayo kay [former Foreign Affairs] Secretary [Albert] Del Rosario saka siyempre kay [former] Ombudsman [Conchita] Carpio-Morales, sa pagbibigay ng ganoong pag-asa sa ating lahat."

In the complaint filed March 15, President Xi and other Chinese officials were accused of committing crimes against humanity in connection with China's activities in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Robredo said she was elated that somebody had the strength to come forward and fight for the Philippines' sovereign rights and jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea.

"Natuwa ako noong nakita ko iyong ginawa, kasi parang dumating kasi tayo sa punto na parang nawawalan tayo ng pag-asa—sinasakop tayo nang sinasakop, tapos nawawalan tayo ng pag-asa, na wala tayong magagawa," Robredo said.

"At least ito, mayroong mga naglakas ng loob na i-bring to the attention of authorities iyong pagsabi na mali na ba talaga iyong ginagawa o hindi.

Kasi, ‘di ba, nanalo na tayo ng kaso sa Arbitration Tribunal, tapos mayroon tayong general feeling na walang nangyari doon sa kaso." — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM, GMA News

The ICC complaint versus China is nothing more than an empty publicity stunt meant for those who want to be willingly deceived by wanting a sense of hope.

China does not recognize the ICC. Not even the US recognizes the ICC.

Even if the ICC found China guilty of human rights violation, what can they do to enforce the punishment? They cannot do anything.

So what pagasa is Leni Robredo talking about.
