‘Duterte keeps us from plummeting into a narco-state’

Despite the discontinuation of the war on drugs initially waged by President Rodrigo Duterte and implemented by PNP General Ronaldo ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa, people still insist that the current administration has just begun its plot to stop the transition of the Philippines into a narco-state.

According to a netizen named Rocky Gonzales, high-ranking military men all over the country have allowed the horror of drugs and war to become a part of the daily reality of the country.

“Government officials transitioned into roles that enabled this industry to thrive uninhibited, unchallenged,” Gonzales said.

Moreover, he called out human rights commissioners who became justice secretaries, and then senators and whosecareer was funded by drug trade.

He also mentioned how the mainstream media diverts the attention of the public from awareness and solutions to the problems at hand.

“Even the church, the spirit and soul of Philippine society, the moral compass of the country has colluded with them,” Gonzales said.

“President Duterte is the only thing keeping us from plummeting into a narco-state. Hisadministration is struggling to turn back the clock at the eleventh hour. All the pieces are on theboard to ensure our failure but a 71 year old man has stubbornly refused to give us up,” Gonzales insisted.

He said that despite having so little time left, Duterte still offered it to struggle on the behalf of the people against a problem that wasn’t by him.

“Even as we are close to the climax of our generation’s destiny, we are given a chance to take a different course—a turn in medias res."
