Have you ever wondered why more and more Filipinos are leaving the country by the day? Well, there are various reasons for them to do so. Some have personal reasons, while others are forced to flee the country for their families. It is undeniable that the way of life in the Philippines is not as good as some expect. Indeed, it is a beautiful place, but the way things are handled in the country is what pushes Filipinos to leave.
1. More job opportunities abroad.
This is the most common reason why Filipinos leave the country. Working abroad could mean more available jobs, better wages and less taxes.
2. Things are getting hopeless.
More and more government officials are being charged with corruption. If there is any progress in some areas, surely another case of corruption emerges elsewhere. Filipinos are getting impatient.
3. Escape Persecution.
Yes, criminals escape persecution in the Philippines by going abroad. There are some countries that don’t have extradition agreements with our country, which can virtually assure crooks of their safety.
4. Bad experiences in the Country
Many people leave not because they are attracted to go abroad. Some Filipinos just have bad experiences when they were in the Philippines, and simply wish to avoid the bad experiences and leave them behind.
5. Because they no longer feel safe in their own home.
Crime and corruption is abundant in the country, and more people are no longer feeling safe. A country where some government officials have private armies is not exactly a safe and happy place to stay in.
6. Looking for a different experience.
Some Filipinos want to see what they could do out there instead of staying in one place. Working/staying abroad has a lot to offer. Some people are already from well-to-do families and their only reason to leave is to find a new experience.
7. Families are already abroad.
The Filipino population is indeed growing. Others follow family members who are already abroad. Families separated due to economic reasons wish to reunite again and be together.
