Veteran international football coach Velizar Popov of the Myanmar's Men's Football Team burned down some Philippine media for asking questions irrelevant to the football games.
In a chance interview by ABS-CBN, the Myanmar Coach was asked about their discomfort and the accommodations upon arrival in the Philippines which was allegedly sensationalized by the mainstream media to paint a bad impression among our leaders.
Coach Velizar Popov answered the questions about their ordeal upon arrival by saying "That's small issue for me. It is not a big deal and I don't want to talk more about it because it is not the main thing in this tournament."
For the past few days, the Philippines hosting of the ASEAN Games 2019 was marred by controversies and the mainstream media seems to sensationalized every issue and they did not focus on the preparations of our athletes and our visitors.
There were several reports earlier that it took a few hours for the visiting team to get billeted with their respective hotels and the bus who were bound to pitch them at the airport were also delayed.
The SEA Games organizing committee already made some adjustments and apologized with the reported incovenience among athletes and promised to ironed all the details and not to do the same mistake again, until the end of the competition.
