Here's a repost of a comment by Jacob de Vera from last year which shows a side by side comparison that proves to some of the O.A. "Prissy Elites" who irrationally insist that Duterte is "like Hitler" or that their supporters are similar that they are VERY VERY DIFFERENT...
The differences with Hitler supporters and Duterte supporters are the following:
1. Ideology
Hitler was a right wing fascist. A Dictator. His supporters raised their Sieg Heil stance & salute to put themselves under Hitler's absolute and unquestionable command.
Duterte is a left leaning, pro-dialogue, pro democracy, pro people leader who espouses the decentralization of power and seeking a government form that speaks for the people. Duterte supporters raise their clenched fist in disgust of the corrupt vestiges of the current lousy form of government and the hold-outs from the past.
2. Objective
Hitler's goal was ensuring the superiority of German race and his supporters clearly professed this.
Duterte's goal is ensuring that we have a government that works for the people. His supporters are tired of a government that ignores them, treats them like second class citizens, steals from them and in some cases, directly extorts from them.
3. Means
Hitler and his supporters used any and all means necessary. Black propaganda. Intimidation. Violence. Murder. Even burning their own country's parliamentary building. They were funded by wealthy industrialists and large companies.
Duterte supporters have social media. Paying with their own money for campaign material and support. Cleans up after a Duterte presidential rally. Compared to other presidential candidates, Duterte's campaign is most basic.
4. Persona
Hitler was painted by his propagandist as being superhuman. A god of sorts. A person who could not make a mistake.
Duterte looks like a guy you would meet at some random street corner and you won't pay mind. He admits mistakes. Dislikes recognition of awards for doing his job.
5. Intensity
Nazi supporters are inflamed with religious-like hysteria.
Duterte supporters go to rallies on their own volition. Bringing only their hopes and dreams of what a just, clean and honest government could bring. A dream that's been lingering since time immemorial of our nation.

Now please allow me to add a number 6 to that:
6. Attitude towards anti-government protests
Hitler used his stormtroopers (Sturmabteilung) and other paramilitary forces to break-up rallies and and intimidate any opposition against his own group, ideology, or against his government.
Duterte, on the other hand, encourages opponents to vent out their own frustrations by allowing them unlimited protest-privileges, where the only condition is that the protesters avoid inconveniencing the public with traffic and other inconveniences. He even went face-to-face with Leftist protesters who were protesting against his State of the Nation Address to address their concerns instead of calling in the military and the police to exterminate them.
