Let Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano bring his complaint to the International Criminal Court, President Rodrigo Duterte said early Tuesday morning.
Duterte made the remark after the House Committee on Justice dismissed for lack of substance the impeachment complaint Alejano filed against Duterte.
The complaint was anchored on the killings of blamed on Duterte's campaign against crime in Davao City when he was still its mayor.
Alejano, at a news conference, said he was considering bringing the case before the ICC in The Hague.
"He can go ahead. He's free to do it," Duterte told reporters at the Davao City airport where he arrived from working visits in Cambodia and China.
Duterte recounted the many times he had been investigated for killings that have been attributed to his campaign against crime in Davao City when he was still its mayor.
"I was investigated by the human rights... I was investigated again when (Leila De Lima) was justice secretary. I was investigated again by the Senate and I was investigated again by the House," Duterte said.
"Some guys are being taken for a ride a thousand times over," he added.
Duterte has repeatedly denied being involved in vigilante killings.
