“Noong wala na sigurong mapiga sa akin, iyong asawa kong limang taon na nananahimik, iyon naman iyong nabiktima ngayon,” Robredo said on March 8, 2017 (Wednesday) during the “Women Defending Democracy” forum at Miriam College.
Robredo claims that false stories about her have circulated because she has been vocal about her criticisms against the Duterte administration.
Robredo explained that she kept mum on these issues because she knew she can defend herself. However, it was the last straw for the Vice President when anonymously owned We Are Collective blog and other critics attacked the memory of her late husband.
