IF Filipinos Really Have a Problem with Islamic States Why do they go to Saudi Arabia?

IF #Filipinos Really Have a Problem with Islamic States Why do they go to Saudi Arabia?

It might appear that the Pinoys and the Moros are in disagreement because one wants a secular state – while the other wants an Islamic state. However, both groups are united in the belief of being led / ruled by a state.

Pinoys and Moros are actually united in their belief that they need a state in order to be successful in their lives – they just can’t agree on which state works best for them.
And for that – they are willing to kill each other to prove that their choice of state is better than the others’ choice of state.

This is pretty much like choosing between a religious thief and an atheist thief. Both have different practices, lifestyles, beliefs and dis-beliefs, but both are still thieves and are imposed thru the coercive power of the state and its monopoly on violence.

Whether secular or religious – the state will collect taxes, will have rules and regulations, will have government agencies, will have government employees, will have cronies, will have legislative bodies, will jail and violate people’s liberties and freedoms – and people will be paying for it in increasing amounts.

The state’s nature of control – whether unitary or federal, or a new state, attracts those who wish to exercise power over others or control the lives of others, Pinoy or Moro.

Hey Bangsa Moro.. hate to burst your bubble, meet the new “Islamic” boss – same like the old “Christian” boss.

Having said that allow me to explore the various themes that have come across my way recently.

The MILF is ineffective in governance.

The MILF in this case has been likened to a two year old with a blow torch – and I agree.

And if I may add, the Philippine government is also a two year old holding a blow torch.

The Philippines is no less a criminal than any group of thugs with guns.

To me, the question then becomes which two year old with a blow torch do folks prefer.

The best answer of course, to me anyways, is that I will think for myself instead of letting a two year old (Pinoy or Moro) with a blow torch to do the thinking and choosing for me.

It is only when each individual, who happens to be Pinoy or Moro, becomes the leader in one’s own life, and stop following somebody else will that person be truly free.

You cannot trust somebody else to decide what is best for YOU.

There is no need for a separate Moro State

I hear people say there is no need for a Bangsa Moro.

In like manner i say there is no need for a Philippines either.

Pinoys aren’t really protected from thieves and thugs when their income is being collected and redistributed by thieves and thugs with fancy names like tax commissioner, senator, congressman, mayor governor or president.

A Greater Philippines/Bangsa Moro will be achieved

The unitary camp asserts that the Moros are better off with the Filipinos under the Republic of the Philippines.

The federalist camp asserts that the Moros and Filipinos can co-exist under the Republic of the Philippines.

The secessionist camp asserts that the Moros and Filipinos can co-exist even if they are separate Republics.

Each of these variations of collectives assert that by being part of their group (political, ethnic, economic), the lives of individuals will become more developed.

History however, has shown that while many individuals endeavor to live at the expense of the state, in the end the state lives at the expense of everyone else.

Heck, you can break Philippines up into city states the size of Singapore, and watch the areas with restrictive economic policies go under, while those with liberal economic policies – prosper.

If the intention of federalism is to introduce efficiency in decision making by breaking up the unitary state – then by that same principle, we can increase increase efficiency by breaking up the federal state and the local governments stranglehold on the economy and liberties of individuals and for ultimate efficiency, down to the individuals – let individuals run their lives themselves – not a federal state.

Think about this – will the unitary camp, federalist camp, secessionist camp achieve different economic outcomes if all of them implement a 60/40 protectionist regime in favor of Philippine/Moro nationals?

Will the unitary camp, federalist camp, secessionist camp have different economic outcomes if all of them have the same set of bloated bureaucracies, pork-barrel fueled legislative bodies, high tax rates, subsidized and protectionist laws, maze of regulations to start a business, open a private school, a private new solar power utility, a private toll road, a private hospital, a new airline, a new retail chain, a new waste management firm?

Individuals who define their identities based on the amorphous Filipinos or Moros always wants to follow a leader.

Each individual’s definition of what a Filipino or Moro is, is a Rohrscach blot. The diverse definitions of what it means to be Filipino or Moro is not the problem.

The problem is when one individual or a group of individuals imposed their definitions on what it means to be Filipino or Moro, with the use of arms, which are bought with the money plundered (read: taxed) from other individuals under the threat/penalty of Pinoy (or Moro) tax laws.

The State is our Kapamilya

The toughest, scariest, and most liberating realization of all is to realize that each individual  needs to lead one’s self. And that realization necessitates a fundamental rethinking of everything we have been made to to think and believe.

The state – whether Pinoy or Moro – is not our kapamilya.

Si Noynoy o sinumang politiko ay hindi “ama ng bayan”.  At lalong di mo kamaganak o kapamilya ang gobyerno. Wag maging hangal.

There is no such thing as “ama ng bayan” or “ama ng lungsod” or “ama ng probinsya”.  You only have one ama – and that’s the dude from who’s testicles you came from.

This paternalistic view of state and society is downright moronic and manipulative. By portraying the predatorial head of state as a “father”, the affection and emotion of the receiver of the message is transformed from one of resistance to tyranny to acceptance of a phoney and a parasite. Once the message is hooked into the receiver’s psyche, the audience can be manipulated into delivering what “the father” wants so that “the father” can provide for what the audience wants because “the father” knows what’s good for his “children”.

Eto namang mga pinoy gunggong – they think the “ama ng bayan” must be responsible for each of their lives being the “anak ng ama ng bayan”.

Every sociopath needs its enablers or co-dependents. Or as Gat Jose Rizal once said “There are no tyrants, where there are no slaves”.

So here we are at another juncture calling for the replacement of a yellow tyrant – with a still unnamed tyrant.

Unnamed because the position is still up for grabs as collectivist groups mount their various campaigns to gain control of the one ring to rule them all.

More Gun control?

Government as the only holder of guns worked well with Stalin and Mao and all the dictators.

Citizens without guns are easy to intimidate. Quite a recipe for mass murder.

Can someone tell me how criminals follow the laws on gun control? The Philippines already has very stringent gun control laws and regulations and yet still remains a very violent place packed with armed criminals, petty thieves, hold-uppers, kidnappers, and bank robbers.

Why is it that peaceful citizens with guns always end up as the ones whose liberties are at risk when they have nothing to do with the criminals?

You might as well blame all people with forks for obesity.

The deeper lesson of Mamasapano is this – armed citizens can resist and overcome a predatorial wannabe government – or petty thieves and criminals for that matter.

Aquino is to Blame

Hold Aquino Accountable? It is a delusion to consider Aquino as a duly elected president because he isn’t.

This Milf vs GRP is a clash between collectivists who believe that a tiny self appointed minority can impose their lifestyles on the rest under pain of the coercive power of the state.

Government in itself is murderous and can’t be holier than the MILF.

Violence whether sanctioned by the state or not, is wrong.

All this Mamasapano investigation’s are useless.

You have an unlawful government, unlawfully disbursing tax money and unlawfully sending soldiers to die. That’s no different from the defacto standing of the MILF.

As to who speaks for all.. my take has always been nobody speaks for anyone.. its a collectivist mind trick.

Noynoy Aquino is just a patsy for Mamasapano.

In the end, accountability lies on the Filipinos who put Noynoy or who put up with him being there despite an obviously FLAWED election. And that’s not even touching on the folly of elections.

Simpleng tanong lang.

Sino ang mga bumoto at nangampanya para kay noynoy in 2010?

Sino ang mga mayor, councilor, congressman, senator, governors na nagpromote kay noynoy?

They are as accountable as noynoy for all this mess.

The road to Mamasapano started in 2010.

Hoy pinoy.

Ang senado nyo, elected by HCOS PCOS.

Ang presidente nyo, elected by HCOS PCOS.

Ang mga mayor, governor, councilor nyo, elected by HCOS PCOS.

How exactly can you hold an illegal criminal government accountable by asking this same bogus defacto government to investigate itself?

How can you impeach someone who was not lawfully elected?

How can unlawfully elected senators be doing the impeaching?

How can pinoys let this farce take place.

The stupidity of pinoys is limitless.

Had the pinoys opted to declare a failure of elections in 2010 and do the process right – I don’t think the Philippines will be in the deeper mess it is in right now.

  • Pork barrel mess
  • Mamasapano mess
  • Haiyan mess
  • Conditional cash transfer mess
  • Electric power mess
  • MRT mess
  • Smartmatic mess
  • Poverty, hunger, unemployment mess

Even Filipinos want out of this mess and Pinoys want to have all-out war with the moros so that the moros can be part of this mess known as the Philippine government?
Are you seriously fuckin kidding me?

The Filipinos’ greatest contribution to planet earth… Konsu-MESS-yon.

All Out War

So did world wars 1 and 2 lead to peace?

Heck we are on the verge of world war 3.

And that’s after wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Syria, and Palestine

War does not bring peace. War brings more wars.

War is the easy stupid way out. As taxpayers are suckered into subsidizing weapon making crony firms.

Folks here who wanna die for the Philippines, grab a gun and shoot yourself – the rest of us prefer to live.

If you wanna honor the fallen work to end all violence so that there are no more fallen.

You don’t honor the 44+20 by sending thousands more to die.

*** Naghahanapbuhay lang

I grew up to war drums. I may have not been in the hardest hit remote areas. But wherever it happened still affected us in Davao.

Kaya it was such a relief when Misuari signed the peace agreement. We had peace for some time. It was kumbaya time until the economic realities set in. You cannot have a political – or a military solution to an economic problem.

Pag walang gyera, walang mapupromote to captain, major, colonel, and general. Walang kickback sa mga weapons purchases, uniforms, supplies – malaking raket yun.

That’s how lieutenants fresh newly minted from Baguio’s PMA coming from the ranks of Filipinos in the north – sent to pacify and occupy the South – in order to earn their stripes, ranks, pay – and a better life for them and their families, by going to war in Mindanao.

Bat di na lang sila mag gyera dyan sa Luzon and get their promotion from there?

E wala naman silang makitang combat sa Luzon so ang pinakaconvenient yung mga marginalized demonized minorities na nasa Mindanao.

Pag napatay nila yung minorities, they get promoted.

Pag namatay sila, demonized yung minorities na ginamit nila upang mapromote sila.

Ang mga pinoy, magrarally kunyari about Palestine and Gaza. And yet meron tayong Palestine in our own backyard. And the Philippine government is behaving like Israel, and treating areas of Mindanao like Gaza.

Ang lalakas ng loob ng mga pinoy chicken hawks kasi di pa nakatikim ng giyera ang mga yan.

For those of you who don’t know what chicken hawks are – it is a political term to describe a person who strongly supports war or other military action (i.e., a war hawk), yet who actively avoids or avoided military service when of age. The term indicates that the person in question is hypocritical for personally dodging a draft or otherwise shirking their duty to their country during a time of armed conflict while advocating that others do so. Generally, the implication is that chicken hawks lack the moral character to participate in war themselves, preferring to ask others to support, fight and perhaps die in an armed conflict. Those who avoid military service and continue to oppose armed aggression are not chicken hawks.

When the bombs start exploding in their backyards, the pinoy chicken hawks will know the true meaning of war.

Syet.. linggo linggo panay puyat ng tatay ko para operahan lahat ng sugatan.

War took my parents time away from the family.

I remember when a grenade exploded in the University of Mindanao in the 80s. We lived on Anda Street (now Inigo Street)  – just two blocks away from the University. My mom was attending her class in UM law school that evening. She heard a loud explosion. When they came out of their rooms and went through the hallways, there was blood all over the walls and floors. I can still remember her coming home that evening and telling us what happened. Sirens, ambulances, people were just swarming all over the place. My dad, a surgeon, received the call from the San Pedro hospital. We knew he was not going to be home for a couple of days again.

Di ka makakagimik dahil may curfew baka mapickup ka or worse ma salvage pa.

War is a whole lot of things. Screw nationalism. People just want to live and go on with their lives.

People are clueless about the mess. War ain’t Hollywood or the set of Ang Panday.

Who really benefits when people are fighting and killing each other?

Do you seriously believe that a schmuck from Tondo or Abra or Banaue or Panay or Bicol or Nueva Ecija will get a cut of the oil revenue in Liguasan if the Cojuangco-run PNOC gets its fangs on that real estate – much like a schmuck in Mamasapano getting a cut in revenue when Iqbal hands off the development contracts to Chevron or  British Petroleum?

So, before you even throw away your life and get swept away in this testosterone-fueled nationalistic rage, think again. What’s in it for you? And who are you really fighting for?

One – the ones who sell the weapons – the drones, the tanks, the helicopters, the planes, the bullets, the guns, the maintenance contracts, the fuel contracts, the uniform suppliers, the peacekeeping consultants, the nation building consultants – it’s an industry baby. The “rebels” are simpy meant to generate demand.

Two – the ones who will take over the land – and its resources (oil and minerals and crops) – after you all shoot yourselves silly, to death – and profiting from it too.

Think about it.

IF Filipinos Really Have a Problem with Islamic States Why do they go to Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia observes Sharia Law, is an Islamic State, has no elections.

And yet – Islamic Saudi Arabia is where most OFW Filipinos vote with their feet. Tulak ng bibig, kabig ng dibdib, sabay biglang liko.

Pinoys get in debt in the Philippines while applying for a job that will have them live in these Islamic states as domestic helps, construction workers, engineers, nurses, etc.

It’s a familiar sight, Filipinos young and old, male, female, LGBT queuing up in employment agencies, pawning their land titles, heirlooms, life savings, cars, anything of value, for a ticket to Islamic states in the Middle East.

Despite the stories of beheadings, whippings, rapes, tortures – Filipinos still leave for the fundamentalist Islamist states – the very kind of state that the MILF seeks to achieve.

So, why the do the Filipinos still go to Saudi Arabia to work?

OFW-applying for jobs

What am I missing here?

Isn’t it more fun to be in poverty laden, prostitute-ridden, corruption from to bottom, dubious election results, highly regulated, overtaxed, restrictive economy, crony-ist, welfare entitled, violent-crime ridden, non-Islamic Philippines?

Allow me to state the obvious – this has never really been about religion in the first place, this has always been about economics – money.

If the pay is good, people will put up with some inconveniences or find ways around it – or find substitutes or alternatives. Sure you can’t party in the Arab states but you can now afford to travel to a more cosmopolitan Asian country once in awhile.

So, why the do the Filipinos still go to Saudi Arabia to work?

So that ABS-CBN has stories to tell in its teleseryes?

So that Migrante has a reason for being?

So that the party-list congressmen keep on going on junkets under the cover of “aid in legislation”?

Pinoys are resisting the idea of an Islamic state in their backyard, in a region surrounded by Islamic states of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei – and yet take the first flight out to fundamentally islamic Jeddah.

In 1992, there were about 65 million Christians in Southeast Asia compared to about 150 million Muslims, excluding the Muslims in South Asia and the Middle East.

It was mentioned jokingly that had the Spaniards delayed their arrival by one generation or half a century in coming to the Philippines, the country could have been dominantly Muslim. And instead of a Moro problem, we could have had an Ilocano problem.
