Anonymous Philippines Message to the Filipinos

Rotten Philippine Media: Media asks if Duterte behind Davao bombing. Pro...

Leila de Lima’s statements in her CNN interview were unfair to the Philippine police

September 4, 2016
by Ilda
There are Filipinos whose actions can be considered treacherous. In their obsession to stay in power, they will do anything, including destroy the reputation of the Philippines with the international community.
Take the case of Senator Leila de Lima. In her recent interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, De Lima not only was critical about President Rodrigo Duterte’s policy on illegal drugs, she also undermined the members of the Philippine police force. When Amanpour asked her what she thought of the police’s defence that some of those who were killed during police operations resisted arrest, De Lima did not hesitate to say “I do not for a second, believe that”. Her statement was irresponsible and outrageous.
Even without the results of police investigations, De Lima already gave her own verdict against the police based on her own gut feel. What kind of lawyer is she? She should have been disbarred a long time ago. It’s too obvious that she is just trying to save her own ass since her reputation is already in tatters. She doesn’t deserve to be a senator. Instead of looking out for the men and women in the police force who work hard for very little pay and benefits, De Lima badmouths them before the international community.
De Lima’s beef with President Duterte is getting out of control. In De Lima’s desperation, she is seeking the help of the international community to bring Duterte down. She doesn’t care anymore if there are other casualties in the process. She knows – since she was the former Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary – that there is a real threat the Philippines could turn into a “narco state”, but she still continues to throw accusations that the government’s war on drugs is violating the human rights of drug lords and dealers. A lot of people are wondering when she is going to cry foul over the deaths of helpless victims of drug-related crimes. She seems more concerned about the fate of lowlifes who wreak havoc in Philippine society.
I am actually surprised there are women who look up to De Lima. She seems to have become a champion of the women’s activist group GABRIELA. They see her as a courageous woman who soldiered on even after Duterte’s attacks and especially after he divulged her alleged affair with her former driver at the DOJ. A GABRIELA member called me out on Twitter for being critical of De Lima. She insinuated that being a woman, it is wrong for me to put down another woman. To which I replied, I do not discriminate. I call out irrational behaviour coming from both men and women. The members of this women’s group are acting irrational themselves for expecting me to go soft on someone just because of her gender. They are the ones being discriminatory.
De Lima will definitely not get a pass from me since she had been irrational since former President BS Aquino put her in his cabinet. De Lima had acted like his attack dog for six years. Besides, I don’t think she is an authority on human rights since she herself violated other people’s human rights in the past. It’s worth mentioning again how De Lima violated former President Gloria Arroyo’s rights:
We recall that there was pandemonium at the Manila international airport in November 2011 when Department of Justice Secretary Leila De Lima panicked after she found out Arroyo was leaving the country and ordered officers at the airport to help bar her from leaving for Singapore. And with the assistance of the media in inciting anger against Arroyo, some members of the public also joined the fray – besieging her at the airport. Her frail and helpless appearance on a wheelchair did not stop them from acting like a lynch mob. The scene resulted in a standoff because Arroyo’s supporters insisted on her right to travel abroad as stated in the Philippine Constitution.
De Lima’s initial violation back then was in defying the Supreme Court’s temporary restraining order on the travel ban against Arroyo. De Lima even risked disbarment for ignoring the highest court’s order. Senator Miriam Santiago likewise questioned De Lima’s action citing the DOJ had no legal basis to issue a watch-list order against Arroyo since there was no pending case against the former President and was only a respondent in a joint DOJ Comelec investigation on electoral fraud at that time.
Senator Leila de Lima: Not an authority on human rights having violated these herself as DOJ Secretary
Senator Leila de Lima: Not an authority on human rights having violated these herself as DOJ Secretary
I don’t see De Lima as a champion for women’s rights either. She comes across as someone who uses her position to get what she wants. Some say that perhaps her former driver didn’t have a choice but be intimate with her for fear of losing his job. If what they are saying is true, she is definitely someone young women shouldn’t emulate. De Lima also bullies other people. That is behaviour that both men and women shouldn’t pattern themselves after. Bullies like De Lima are actually weak deep inside. They mask their weakness by putting others down.
It’s quite disturbing that someone like De Lima is in a powerful position. Her endless yakking in front of the media is not helping the country move forward. She seems to be trying to divert the public’s attention from the fact that she was too incompetent to deal with the country’s drug epidemic as DOJ Secretary and how, while she held that office, drug manufacturing thrived inside the country’s main penitentiary, The New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano was right in saying she kept using the term extra-judicial killing too loosely considering she issued a set of guidelines that makes clear what constitute as one. The killing of suspected drug dealers is not covered by the definition stipulated on those very guidelines.
Indeed, De Lima’s self-serving actions should be investigated. The country doesn’t need someone who would rather look good while ruining the country’s standing in the international community and destabilising the current government.

What is the perfect penis size for women ?

If you ask a group of women about the perfect penis size, you might be surprised by the answer.
A study from the University of California says.women’s preference for penis size goes from 4 to 8,5 inches. To conduct the study, researchers gave 75 women 33 3-D penis models and asked them which penis they would like for a long-term partner and which they’d prefer for a fling.Suprisnigly but not by much, the prefered size for a hook up was larger than a prefered size for a long term partner.
According to the study, on average the ideal size for a life partner measured in at 6.3 inches in length and 4.8 inches in circumference. The ideal size for a hookup clocked in at 6.4 inches long and 5 inches around.
Given that women typically experience more pleasurable and orgasmic sex in longer-term relationships, they might prefer a larger penis for short-term sex partly so the increased physical sensation compensates for the reduced psychological connection,” the scientists hypothesized.
Nicole Prause, lead researcher for the University of California study, says the research proves bigger isn’t necessarily better. She says men should stop worrying so much about their size and instead focus on finding the right partner.
“There’s every reason to think that women’s size also varies. We know extremely little about vaginal depth – and nothing in terms of norms – because it’s very difficult to measure. We have no idea how the women vary and whether that impacts their preferences, but it certainly should,” Prause says.
So there you have it — it’s not the size, but the fit that matters most.

The #Philippines' intellectually-bankrupt politics: ruled by celebrity rather than IDEAS!

The last leaders of PHL who understood the importance of ideas were Ferdinand Marcos and Ninoy Aquino (father of BS Aquino). After these two, PHL just went to hell in a handbasket.

When Ninoy said: "The Filipino is worth dying for", he was not talking about Juan, Pedro, or Maria. It is not about you or me, nor even about a population that now numbers 100m whose home base is an archipelago squeezed between China Sea and Pacific Ocean. He was talking about a person who he dreamt was totally free, able to determine his own future, who just happen to live in that archipelago and who share a unique heritage with others that he/ she should not be ashamed of. This was in opposition to Marcos who was defining "who is a Filipino" through his attempt to revise history via his "Malakas and Maganda" narrative. Both recognized that there was something so fundamental about knowing and about being sure of one's identity. Everything flows from this principle.

When it became evident that Mao Tse Tung was going to win, the first thing that Chang Kai Tsek did was ship all the books in their national libraries and artifacts from their museums; there were four ships that arrived in Taiwan carrying all these goods. CKT put himself at risk by delaying his departure just to make sure that future generation would know who and what was Chinese before Mao could disfigure that. Mao was of course bent on a redefinition based Marxist ideas which he later followed up with his infamous Cultural Revolution. The deep antagonism between Koreans and Japanese may be traced back to the fact that Korea was a colony of Japan for 90 years up to WWII, but this is fueled up to this date when Japan, for example, claims certain aspects of the culture as being authentically Japanese, or vice versa. and this can range from anything like rice wine to tatamis. Just imagine if Indonesians one day claims that sinigang is authentically Indonesian; I wonder if PHL would protest. But, can this be why China, Korea, and Japan know where they are going because they accept where they came from, and thus are sure of their identities?

But unlike other nations who put discussions on culture and history front and center in an effort to have an update to where the national identity is heading, PHL media is basically dictated by ratings and popularity. I saw the clear impact of this last month even on the upper echelon of our society. Never mind the businessmen for they are busy with profits; politicians, with PDAF and DAP, etc. I would have expected that if there were people who would breath and sleep with ideas, it would be the churchmen for afterall their business is about ideas, philosophies, theology, etc.

Well, Cdl Chito Tagle attended the Synod 2014 in Vatican last month. The meeting veered on hot button issues like same-sex marriage, divorce, etc. Natural this tickled the interest of international media and a large contingent converged in Vatican trying to get a blow by blow account of the proceedings. To cut the story short, the house became divided between American conservatives and German liberals. Because Tagle was one of those assigned as group leaders, media took notice of him, and the Americans were banking on him to be on their side since Tagle is a product of an American school. Unfortunately, nobody could determine his position because he was swinging from one end to the other on so vital an issue. Consequently, he was lambasted no end by media as the biggest disappointment of Synod 2014. When asked later what he was thinking, he said he was there to ask help on what to do about the havoc being inflicted on countless families by the exodus of OFWs. I said to myself he was allowing his Filipino to show — a mendicant mentality at that. As a Pinoy, I was embarrassed for him. DOES PRACTICALITY PRECEDE IDEAS, OR SHOULD IT BE THAT IDEAS PRECEDE PRACTICALITY???

Don't get me wrong I am a Catholic, and lately, have been trying to be a better Catholic. The reason for that is not anything that happened in PHL, but a visit to Jakarta, of all places, a country which is predominantly Muslim. In my three month stay there, I worked with two Indonesians, who surprised me as being Catholics. Outside business, they always tried to veer our conversations towards various aspects of Catholicism. I supposed they were expecting that since I was coming from a predominantly Catholic country, they could learn something new from me. It was a big letdown, I was the one learning, and boy, were they profound They could rationalize doctrines philosophically and theologically. I guess, being under adverse environment, they were continually studying in order to have a solid footing re their faith. To avoid looking so ignorant, there were many nights in the hotel there that I spent surfing the net on topics we discussed.

Today, of course, I see that what PHL has is a 15th century Catholicism. The annual Black Nazarene procession in Quiapo, for example, is not really Catholic. It is more like a thing that Spain had in those centuries, which in turn was shaded by a mix of Islamic, Moorish confused tradition. But, that is not what Catholicism of today is, which had to find a reply to Descarte, Kant, Hobbes, Nietzsche, etc., philisophies that tended to make man the god in order to eliminate God. Unfortunately, even many Filipino priests don't know this. You go to mass, and instead of them explaining the gospel in the sermon and thus enriching the mind, they tell you to do this, do that, practical advices to children. Catholicism in PHL would be, if it were Islam, like Saudi's Shiite or Iran's Sunni, not like Turkey's or Indonesia's. It is definitely far from Ireland's nor that segment of France which remains solidly Catholic despite an atheist surrounding.

But, here is some interesting things I found out about Indonesia. There was a time Indonesia was sending 10,000 scholars per year to the US and European schools, a good number to Ivy Leagues. It lasted for over 10 years, thus over 100,000 scholars, all expenses shouldered by the government, and yet they were not tied to any contract that they had to come back. Yes, the big numbers you read are all correct. One of the scholars was one of the Indonesian I was referring to earlier. He had a BSChE in MIT and an MBA from Wharton. Funny that he should say that all Filipinos he met in the US felt so much at home. He said Indonesians don't feel at home in the US, possibly the reason why there was no need of contract. They eventually go home. And here is PHL reducing the budget on Education each year. Towards the end of next year, ASEAN will become like EU, just one econmic bloc. If above is any indication of what other ASEAN countries, PHL will not know what hit it as competition will be more intense. Countries will be jockeying for niches where one can be dominant. If PHL does not find as much market niches as the rest, it will be dead in the water, lifeless, in five years after its into the bloc, like Greece and Spain in EU, so much unemployment. Mark my word on this.

Point is we copied our constitution from USA. Yet, do we understand that America is not about a people or about a land that runs across from San Francisco to Maine, or from Upper Peninsula in Michigan down to southern tip of Texas. Those are secondary; America is about an idea. In turn, that idea was heavily influenced by the French revolution. I think what many Filipinos miss is that an idea has a universal value. Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness is not American, French, or Russian, etc. It has something to do with the dignity of ALL men and women.

On parting, the two Indonesians gave their opinion of PHL which I thought had a lot of wisdom: "Philippinrs should not waste what it already has. You have the mentality of the Chinese, American, Spanish, and thus European, and Catholicism. It is the envy of all Asian nations that you should have such a heritage, and we are scared of you. Because we know that if you get your act together, you will be a riival to China and Japan. Nobody understands why you don't do it."

Leni Robredo is DESPERATE to stay relevant!

I don't think there has ever been a "Vice-President" in the history of the Philippines -- maybe even of the world -- who works as hard as Leni Robredo does to try and steal the thunder away from the President.

It is doubly ironic because this is a "Vice-President" who was barely able to manage a 1% "lead" over her nearest rival during the elections, despite the unmatched levels of cheating, spending, manipulation, and mud-slinging that her party resorted to. Yet Robredo parades herself around like she is God's greatest gift to the Filipino people, trying to compete for attention with the most popular and most trusted President in recent Philippine history. "Langaw na nakapatong sa kalabaw" does not even begin to describe the absurdity of this situation.

I think her latest statement about wanting to build rehabilitation centers is an attempt to ride on Duterte's war-on-drugs bandwagon. The "Leni the 'It' Girl/Socialite" and "Leni the Woman of the Year" PR campaigns have so far flopped, so now Robredo is trying to identify herself with an issue that obviously resonates with the people. It's amusing how the yellow media played up her rehab statement like it was the most groundbreaking insight ever, as if nobody on this earth had ever thought of building rehab centers before.

As to what rehab centers have to do with the specific job assigned to Robredo at HUDCC, nobody really knows. Rehab centers are not even within her scope, and the DOJ and DOH are already working on these. But to Robredo's camp, everything is about PR, and she will say and do anything to keep herself in the headlines. Just imagine, if all the Jesse Robredo tributes, ribbon-cutting events, keynote speeches, dinners, product launches, and movie premieres are taken away, there would be nothing left for Robredo to get talked about.

While the other cabinet members gain media mileage because of their work-i.e. DOJ Sec. Aguirre on Bilibid investigation, DENR Sec. Gina Lopez on mining audit, DSWD Sec. Taguiwalo on 4Ps reorganization, DOTr Sec. Tugade on traffic management solutions-Robredo only gets media mileage for her recreational activities. Expect her to ramp up her critical running commentary on Duterte's policies in the coming days, as her camp starts to realize that the social butterfly routine isn't taking off.
