RIZALISTS DON'T LIE, EXCEPT PERHAPS THE CURRENT DEPUTY EUROPEAN COMMANDER...!

Sir Barry,

Lazir isn't comparing Holocaust horror, but trying to illustrate that RIZALISM, CHEATING/LYING, CORRUPT practices (the way IHQ does now!) DO NOT AND WILL NEVER MIX! Anyone MIXING these is a FAKE Rizalist!

He wants to say that some in the KOR (you could be included, depending upon where you stand) deny the TRUTH, somehow and in a smaller way, similar to Bishop Williamson...!

=========================

FACT:

A lying/dishonest Supreme Commander Virgilio Esguerra was in BAD FAITH for talking/writing OK, but acting contrary to what he said or what he wrote (Evidence: his April and May 2007 writings!)!

=========================

TO ILLUSTRATE:

If Virgilio Esguerra were a Scoutmaster who told the Scouts, "We will go 'North'!", but then he went 'South'! Yes Sir, blame goes upon the erring Scoutmaster (Esguerra), not the Scouts (Knights)!

If true as reported that Quiambao did facilitate the change of apppointments to replace Sir Lucien as European Commander back in 2006 with the Paras name, Quiambao is more guilty than Moreno of DAMAGING the KOR name! Why is Quiambao not investigated nor expelled by "logical" Samuel S. Samuela?

********************

BIG QUESTIONS:

Will the same "logical" Samuel Samuela now prosecute his boss/es, the way he expelled others for damaging the KOR name? Didn't Quiambao damage the KOR name by his support of Paras when Sir Lucien was first appointed by Sir Hilario European Commander, but reversed about 2 weeks later, when the fake Paras was appointed, reportedly thru the machinations of Quiambao? This "stab in the back" was reported as one reason that made Sir Hans Schoof resign from the KOR!

This DAMAGE to the KOR name transpired BEFORE Lazir started writing!

Where is "logical" Samuela's investigation of this DAMAGE to the KOR name? If Samuela will not investigate/prosecute/resolve to expell Quiambao nor Esguerra, he is spineless, a fake Rizalist and has no credibility!

Where is the Supreme Council/Council of Elders initiative to investigate Quiambao/Esguerra for DAMAGING the KOR name? Do we wait another 2 years, when Esguerra already retired? Lazir can tell you already that Quiambao/Esguerra both won't be investigated by "logical" Samuela but KOR will again provide Esguerra FREE airfare/hotels for some KOR assembly in a foreign country!

Can you please provide CLEARCUT answers to these questions, Sir Barry? Do you need 1 week time?

*********************

[Even World Bank's Paul Volcker or former US State Secretary Sir Henry Kissinger will say the same thing Lazir stated above, if shown the same FACTS Lazir has! Lazir doesn't see any hatred anywhere!!??? Where, kind Sir please, is hatred in Lazir's e-mails? Ask Sir Henry Kissinger about Watergate and he will tell you that his Commander-in-Chief did WRONG! And, this won't mean Sir Henry Kissinger hates/hated Nixon!]

The Rizalian should stay, the un-Rizalian must go!

Like the national hero who never asked for clemency, nor lenience from the abusive Spaniards who hated him, true Rizalists CANNOT COMPROMISE upon GRAVE ABUSE/S of Quiambao and Esguerra!

Isn't it flimsy/despotic/tyrannic of KOR to expell Sir Jun Zerrudo, where IFKoR NEVER infringed upon something that KOR doesn't have copyright ownership of? Besides, RA 646 doesn't prohibit any Filipino from use of any symbols, not even KOR symbols, for FURTHERING the ideas, ideals, principles of Dr Jose Rizal! What's wrong if IFKoR uses such symbols and does the job better?

Have you seen Catholics prosecuting Jews for touching the cross?

Where, Sir Barry, does it say in RA 646 that no one can use nor borrow the Rizalian symbols, knowing that the use is purely RIZALIAN? Don't you think it's TRAVESTY of the hero's name and an INJUSTICE when the CORRUPT use the KOR symbols?

Isn't the devil WRONG already, from the very beginning, even if it ONLY touches the cross?

IFKOR is International Federation of Knights of Rizal, and is longer than KOR by two words? Can any of the KOR legal pundits or experts please show Lazir the exact provision/passage in RA 646 where it says borrowing or using those sysmbols for Rizalian purposes are WRONG? Lazir will give them 7 days from today!

Lazir can bet with you, there's none! Yet, like the way despots behave, even the ABSENCE of grounds, is made to fit, like a SQUARE PEG upon a ROUND HOLE, just to please evil wishes!

On the other side, Sec 4, RA 646, which limits membership to those with GOOD MORAL CHARACTER, is IGNORED by the same, so-called "legal luminaries" of the IHQ, AFRAID to FACE the glaring TRUTH! Foremost are Quiambao, (Judge?) Chavez and (Lawyer?) Samuela. They erred on their conclusions/findings on Sir Jun Zerrudo and Moreno!

Do you really believe Moreno acted "inimically to the KOR interests, giving KOR a bad name" when Quiambao and Esguerra have been proven to have ACTED INIMICALLY to the interests of the KOR?..., still CONSISTENLY giving said KOR a bad name, from as far back as RY 1999-2000 (or even earlier?) when Lazir was silent?

Wasn't Quiambao involved in the fight for control of the IHQ? Lazir knows you cannot say NO to this last question...because you will become a liar if you say NO!

And sure as night and day, Quiambao gave the KOR a bad name, which PRETENDERS Chavez and Samuela cleverly OVERLOOKED! Quiambao still gives the KOR a bad name, until today! If he doesn't CHANGE FOR THE BETTER, till tomorrow! But Chavez and Samuela woud rather beat upon lowly, small fish Sir Jun Zerrudo and Moreno, than beat their BOSS/es!

It is FACTUAL/PROVEN that the Supreme Commander lied and was dishonest! Dr Jose Rizal was not corrupt! IHQ unfortunately is!

Please remember that we are international Rizalists, who pledged to "FIGHT INJUSTICE"!

We come from many nations, not from Alibaba's Forty nor are we the "boys" of Paras, Quiambao and Esguerra!

We are engaged in a Rizalian discussion, so nothing wrong if Lazir must remind everyone about the past ABUSE/S committed/and the current abuses being committed in the name of the national hero, the same way Germany and Germans do not forget the Holocaust and the Pogrom night!

You might be referring to Mr Alcoba's mails that indeed qualified as HATE MAIL, HATRED (devoid of reason!) about many things contrary to his benefactors at IHQ. Lazir doesn't stoop that low. He might have FORCEFUL/VALID arguments, he might have called a SPADE A SPADE, that even Quiambao won't dare reply to!

Thank you Sir Barry for the fruitful exchange!

CONTINUOUS VERY POOR "LEADERSHIP" PERFORMANCE FOR IHQ MANILA AND EUROPEAN REGIONAL KOR

Magnificent, both your discourses, Sir Joe and Sir Manny!

Now all should know how rightfully you deserve your rank Sir Joe Luzadas! You do good work for Rizalism!

If IHQ insists upon Filipino leaders, you should perhaps be the European Commander this region so deserves!

Mandela possesses the patience of Job!, the wisdom of King Solomon! and Dr Jose Rizal's vision! That's why Sir Manny!

Do we have one such "leader" among the legal "luminaries" at IHQ? Perhaps, but definitely not the ONES running the show!

Today, the relevant question to ask while we are talking about Dr Jose Rizal and Rizalism is: will KOR have a good and benevolent Supreme Commander, the likes (at least!) of Sir Hilario Davide, Jr., who immediately initiated the right moves, including issuing the right directives to as far as Europe, attempting to CORRECT THE WRONG?

Sorry to disappoint anyone that Lazir didn't mention any names today, 03 Feb 09! But, it's not always 03 Feb 09, which they can consider their lucky day!

You all very well know the ROUND individuals that don't FIT in the SQUARE KOR peg of Rizalism!

Let's search for that true Rizalist Leader, one all Rizalists can be PROUD of!

For country and people!

:)
Lazir

===================

Sir Joe,

Rizal's words "WHAT GOOD IS INDEPENDENCE IF THE SLAVES OF TODAY ARE THE TYRANTS OF TOMORROW" became to the Philippines a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Our leaders today are in fact the tyrants Rizal dreaded yesterday.

Put that in contrast to South Africa, where after the fall of Apartheid President Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu created the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, where anyone who confessed his crimes committed in the name of Apartheid and repents for them will be pardon absolutely.

What an admirable concept, what genius these two formidable leaders have shown to the whole world how to be magnanimous in victory.

And this is after Mandela had endured 25 years of imprisonment.

There is no current leader I would want to shake hands with but this great man, who after suffering a lot still had it in his heart to forgive even his tormentors. There is no better example of Christ's teaching but this humble man who blazed a path of prosperity for his country through his forgiving spirit.

He is a lawyer by profession, but who can teach a man to avoid the temptation to be corrupted by power? How did he prepare himself to lead without thoughts of revenge? And in the end, when he had set his country to a course of irreversible progress for his people, he relinquished power. He stepped down without being told his time was over.

Can the Philippines have a Mandela to lead us out of this wilderness called corruption?

Let us pray for our country that God will give us such a man.

A SOLE SEARCHING QUESTION

What a joke and surely we find it amusing as we review the impact in two "shoe throwing" incidents where the media flooded with funny headlines! The media has exploited to the delight of hungry reading public. To wit: the shoes were directed and thrown to VIPs or dignitaries as an expression of anger or it can assumed to be orchestrated to embarrass a visiting foreign dignitary as in the case US President Bush in Iraq and China Minister Wen had experience in England.

We were told Bush deflected or ducked at the shoe thrown to him while Wen just stood still watching the "IFO" (identified foreign object) for the shoes direct to him were so high there is no need fending off.

A follow up reports in the Bush incident show that a ‘zapatero’-shoe storeowner in Baghdad claimed to have personally sold the disgruntled Arab journalist that famous pair of shoes! Still another claimant-shoemaker from one Middle East country also laid his claim as he claimed to be importer and distributor of that pair of shoes in Iraq.

While the Chinese were full of laughs, they did not expect that the reason for their laughs boomeranged as their government leader while visiting England received a shoe-throwing ceremony and of course they stopped laughing. Did not see it not funny nor amusing.

What separates the Chinese from the Arab anti-Bush-bashers is one “SOLE”-searching confession and discovery for them to accept. You see, by reading from the sole of the shoes thrown to Comrade Wen says in bold letters, MADE IN CHINA.

OF TRAITORS AND HEROES

By Jose Ma. Montelibano
INQUIRER.net
First Posted 23:54:00 01/29/2009

It is not difficult to talk about traitors. There are so many of them around, easy to spot because they usually hold positions of power or hold great wealth. The worst traitors come from the Church and the State, both being the dominant and domineering institutions of the country over the past 400 years. The Church and the State are natural sources of vision and virtue, of courage and heroism, of nobility and purity. When they live up to their highest calling, an enlightened society is born and raised.

The story of the Philippines, however, is a story of failure of leadership. In a democracy, the failure of society may mean the failure of the citizenry. "For the people, by the people, of the people" is more than a democratic principle, it is democracy's fundamental philosophy. That is why I cannot point to the people as the culprit for the massive poverty and corruption that shame the nation. Our poverty is not a choice — it is an inherited status, a curse from birth. Corruption stems from abuse and exploitation of power, and the people are its victims, not beneficiaries.

The State in colonial times used force to rob the people of their land and loot the country of its resources. The Church at that time shared in the loot and cooperated with the State to manipulate the native population into submission. There is little need for me to retell an old story. I am not a historian, only a student of history. And if our history were not so crucial to our present, I would prefer to simply move on in cadence with time.

Today, however, is a special moment when history and the present meet to reconcile and change a course, or agree to continue a path where a people's soul wallows in slavery and darkness. After more than twenty years, another moment emerges with a special invitation for courage and faith. Once again, change knocks loudly in the hearts of Filipinos, asking to come in, bearing messages of encouragement from America.

When slavery has been one's reality for centuries, it conditions the mind and spirit to cope by first resigning to it, and eventually by accepting it as a natural state of life. It used to be that parents of poor families would dissuade their children from even imaging a better life. It was, for those parents, simply fantasy to do so as life would never allow such a shift from poverty to comfort or abundance. Ambition was not only useless, it actually was dangerous. Ambition only got the poor into trouble with the Church and the State who were always vigilant against their subjects hoping and dreaming.

We must remember history, not only the events and the special personalities but also the effects of it that we carry to the present. If change seems to come so slowly, this is only a direct result of a history that has so deeply embedded submission and resignation in the psyche of ordinary and poor Filipinos. Those among us who clamor for change would do well to understand the process and effect of colonial times, to understand the exploitative nature of the Church and the State all those centuries. Once we do, we can design a mechanism to deconstruct the imposed horizon blanketing a captive's mind and ultimately allow the rainbow to inspire a benighted people to follow the light.

In a democracy, government is the one tasked not only to govern but to lead and inspire. In a religion, the church is expected to nurture and to pastor. In the Philippines, however, both government and church have failed miserably as institutions in their mandated roles. What has saved the day for them are pockets of good workers on the ground, public officials who defy the collective look of graft and abuse by their sincere and dedicated service, priests and nuns who shun the pomp of position and protocol and instead take the posture of washing the feet of the poor.

Where government and church as institutions have oftentimes been traitors to their higher calling, ordinary workers among them have been heroes and have carried the day for them. Even when whole institutions become corrupt, the light of a few honest and courageous members can continue to provide hope to an exploited society. Because we have many traitors who keep Filipinos in the dark, who abdicate the empowerment of the many for fear of losing historical advantages, we need the heroes who will stand on firm ground, who will stay rooted in righteousness despite the corrupt environment.

When we have heroes to point to, they become sources of light. I have found many in my life, a “barangay” [village] chairman here and there, a mayor here and a governor there, an honest treasurer, a determined teacher. They have been sources of light. The Church in the Philippines has her own heroes, even a few martyrs. There are those parish priests who defy their own poverty and always have something for the poorest in their areas. And who can discount the many religious orders of nuns who truly mother their flock as their way of life.

Treachery has brought poverty to a land of abundance. It is treachery against public duty, against morals and ethics. It is treachery against the teachings of Christ whose disciples in the Philippines have not been faithful reflections of. How can a godly gift of abundance be cornered by the greedy in a land where religion teaches love and sacrifice giving as its primordial virtues? But in the face of the worst distortion and perversion of democracy and Christianity, heroes have not been bullied to squat and be quiet. To those heroes we owe so much, maybe even everything thus far.

Thus far, only thus far. Heroism is not only for the rich, the powerful, the learned. Heroism is a birthright, a forgotten one for most, but always there as a choice for each of us. We have relied on our heroes for so long but mistook their roles as saviors when they served most of all as inspiration for our own heroism to awaken. Heroes save, but heroes inspire, guide and empower us to be heroes ourselves. This is the invitation of change - for us to be heroes in this moment of history. Change is not a call for higher incomes, for more economic opportunities. Change is a call for heroes to save their motherland. Change is a call to be brave, and then for the brave to serve as models of virtue, of generosity and courage, of faith and patriotism.

DR. JOSE RIZAL AND HIS "ALTER EGOS"

The genius in Rizal lies in using the major character of his NOLI and FILI novels to express his moral and political principles that to me are his defining moments. Let start looking at wounded Simoun being pursued by soldiers who finally found refuge and safe haven in the house of a retired Filipino priest, Padre Florentino.

In the ensuing dialogue between the man of God and the failed “revolutionario” who is in a hurry to bring independence to his people, Padre Florentino said to a dying rebel, “WHAT GOOD IS INDEPENDENCE IF THE SLAVES OF TODAY ARE THE TYRANTS OF TOMORROW” It was an appropriate reply to an earlier statement so convincingly invoked and argued, that “THERE ARE NO TYRANTS WHERE THERE ARE NO SLAVES” How can there be independence to a country when its citizens are not ready to take responsibilities to run the affairs of their government. They must first be educated, matured and responsible. There is nothing to blame God for a failed revolution. Padre Florentino's rationale on the failed Simoun's uprising is that the rebellion failed because the people are not ready and because they are not ready they DON'T deserve it!

The ingenuity of Rizal in which he makes his characters speak for him is not just romanticism but a clever subterfuge. Other than that they are prophetic, the highlighted quotations are something Rizal wants his readers to analyze on the importance of education, rational or analytical inquiry that educated citizens to be independent must possess.

Rizal addressed his countrymen that his primary reason for writing the NOLI is to remove the VEIL OF IGNORANCE that has kept them 400 years of misrule, abused and as a consequence getting used to be slaves under Spain.

Rizal was aware of the “Reign of Terror” during French Revolution when Marat, Danton, and Robiespierre abused their leadership to exact vengeance on their enemies at the expense of justice, fairness and equality. During those tumultuous times Madam Roland made her famous statement: ‘O LIBERTY, HOW MANY CRIMES HAVE BEEN COMMITTED IN THY NAME?”

I always assumed that Rizal is so keen about violent revolution where intrigue, cloak and dagger fashion are the tools of the trade, to attain personal ambition, power and glory which in the end will lose all the fruits of the hard won independence. “Slaves becoming tyrants can be the worst scenario to learn the lessons of history. Was there any preventive measure to avoid Andres Bonifacio and his brother Procopio from being brutally killed in Mount Buntis, Cavite? Or in the case of General Antonio Luna, getting tricked or did he invite himself to come to Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija to be ambushed? Let us go back to George Santayana and his famous words:”THOSE WHO REFUSED TO LEARN THE LESSON OF THE PAST ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT”

The last defining moment of Rizal using a NOLI character that of sounds to me an ideal OBITUARY for him came from the mouth of Elias who after rescuing Crisostomo Ibarra hidden in the banca covered with water lilies in the Pasig River and relentlessly being pursued by the Civil Guards was mortally wounded.

Crisostomo Ibarra, the rescued survivor compassionately watched Elias hovering between life and death saying, “I DIE WITHOUT SEEING THE DAWN OF MY COUNTRY. YOU WHO WILL SEE IT CHERISH AND ADORE BUT DON’T FORGET THOSE WHO FELL IN THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT”

Figure of speech, metaphor, imagery, rhetoric or simile: Name it! And Rizal has it. An ideal and fitting to be an OBITUARY! There is extra room for imagination or interpretation. DAWN could be the independence, Rizal’s lifetime preoccupation. “THOSE WHO FELL IN THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT”, refer to the men and women who joined the revolution killed in the struggle. All that Rizal coming from the mouth of Elias is Never to forget their valiant deeds! There is a reason for living and there is time for dying.

TO ERR IS HUMAN, TO FORGIVE IS DIVINE*

Sir Barry,

ERRATUM:
"A wrong has been done during WWII when a million Jews were murdered!" should read, "A wrong has been done during WWII when 6 million Jews were murdered!"

Please allow Lazir to apologize for his sentence above. Thank you! He has visited the Dachau concentration camp thrice, escorting friends! He has read numerous books on the "Third Reich", "Hitler", "WWII", "Eichmann", and knows the correct number, even the estimated 20 million Russians that perished under Stalin (not from German hands)! Error above was a typo.

Lazir is no hypocrite. If he erred, he'll take the blame, accept and apologize for it...

However, no one can deny that Mr Felino Paras and his "boys" get special treatment by Council of Elders member Rogelio Quiambao, and that Supreme Commander Virgilio Esguerra was lying about "non-racism" and "use of indecent words" while preaching Rizalism! This is established FACT, similar to the murdered 6 million!

If Lazir were member of the World Jewish Congress, and you write him to forget WWII, he might have consented. But Lazir is a Rizalist, and the KOR organization involved has Dr Jose Rizal for its icon, where lying and cheating has no place!

Considering that the KOR was founded by RA 646 to SET AN EXAMPLE upon all Filipinos about the exemplary deeds of the hero, clearly a dishonest Supreme Commander Virgilio Esguerra and a corrupt Mr Quiambao are OUT of it IAW Sec 4, RA 646 on good moral character!

Anyone, Rizalist or not, who says such violations are OK could become an accomplice!

How sincere are Knights really about Rizalism? Attending mainly to the Fun! Fun! Fun! part obviously is much too inadequate, to say the least!

Rizalists do not lie and cheat? EXCEPT the Supreme Commander!?, except some in the Supreme Council, some in the Council of Elders???

Is this the FINE EXAMPLE KOR should show the Philippines and the world? Prosecute/Expell the small fish, let go of the BIG fish? Mr Virgilio Esguerra is BIG FISH. As Rizalists, we musn't, may not and shouldn't let go of the BIG FISH!

If upholding the Jewish stand and suffering is important to you, the persona of Dr Jose Rizal, who calmly faced his death, happen to be as important, if not more! for Lazir, never mind if he (Lazir) will fight it out alone against corrupt Quiambao and Esguerra!

In the KOR, we talk of a high STANDARD (Dr Jose Rizal) for members to follow and for all to SET A GOOD EXAMPLE! Do we WALK THE TALK? If not, we, cheat, lie, do/condone corrupt practices, are racists, plagiarize, promote hollow Fun! Fun! Fun! (watch it this month February 2009?)!

To accuse Sir Viriglio of any wrong doing is sanctamount to libel as all transactions were during the numerous past Supreme Commanders prior to his election to that post. Sir Viriglio took over from Sir Hilario Davide the UN Ambassador and now the accusations being made by Mr Victoria Rizal is including all the past supremos who are Ambassadors, Senators, Congressmen, attorneys etc. When will this tirade of accusations stop.

Following your logic above, when will the Jews stop? Pope Benedikt XVI is the Holy Father of the Catholics. To accuse the sanctity of the Papal office about Bishop Williamson might be considered blasphemous, even much higher than the libel you raise against Lazir! In addition, the Pope's act of forgiving was divine. Fact is, due to the relentless criticisms citing the Williamson rehabilitation, the (German) Pope had to once more reiterate his profound sorrow for the 6 million!

If the Pope could go low placating the Jews, how come Mr Virgilio Esguerra authorized all those minor/invented charges against Sir Jun Zerrudo? You asked Lazir to forget Esguerra's VIOLATION of Sec 4, RA 646. Did you ask Esguerra to forget the unfair charges brought against Sir Jun Zerrudo? (Lazir can categorically say that the Canadian government approved the use of those symbols! IFKOR didn't violate no law, in the Philippines nor in Canada!)

Remember, IHQ must set the GOOD EXAMPLE from the top, not Lazir from the bottom!

Following your logic above, do you think it would be right to ask the Jews also to stop accusing everyone who deny about the claimed murder of 6 million because that is past, 1939-1945 is much, much OLDER than RY 1999-2000 of Quiambao and the RY 2006-2008 Esguerra rule?

I personally wish now that this hate mail will stop and that all true friends and brother knights work hard in this Rizalian year to mend the broken fences and repair all the past damages.

Hate mail is used by people who will not come face to face with their intended victim of hate but would rather send out their one-sided version so that anyone reading it would think there is something wrong. It is a well known fact that honourable people do not stoop to their level and sometimes will just sit quietly back on the hope that the nuisance value will stop.

May Lazir only think of himself and should also dismiss all Jewish complaints as one-sided version, nothing but hate mail? That the Jews should now STOP whining? All Jews and Christians should work hard as brothers, mend broken fences and repair all past damages? Lazir should not stoop to this whining level and sit quietly till the Jewish nuisance stops?

I believe that in the Christian Bible there is a very powerful saying that if one is without sin he should cast the first stone. In other words look at yourselves and think before you make accusations.

Also is it generally stated that we should forgive our brothers and love them wthout any malice or jealousy and live as a true family.

Lazir believes there is something in the Torah, if not in the Tanach, where love of neighbor is more important than whining about WWII.

Please cease now and let us work harmoniously for the future

Same to you, Sir Barry!

The Fight vs. Corruption is not for Lazir alone. It is...

For country and people!

SLAVES OF TODAY, TYRANTS OF TOMORROW

JPR wrote, "why independence when the slaves of today will be the tyrants of tomorrow"

Sir Zane,

Last 11-13 Sep 2008, IFKOR held a "Conference on Dr Jose Rizal", like no other! Had you gone there and participated, you would have been enlightened! Lazir was a mere listener and student like the others who took part. All the Resource Persons were GREAT! (GREAT used here may even be an understatement! May you hear from other worthy Ladies and Knights who were likewise present!)

If you so kindly allow Lazir to give his 2 cents, to reply to your question...

Dr Jose Rizal, in his El Filisbusterismo, put the words in the mouth of Padre Florentino, talking to the dying Simoun. Dr Rizal knew then, as he wrote the final chapters of the Noli sequel, no Filipino in the Philippines possessed integrity, honesty, education/training and character to lead the country, should Katipunan and like-minded Filipinos succeed in the fight against Spain!

In short, the Philippines in Dr Rizal's time was not prepared yet to rule itself.

Running a country would need a whole bunch of educated, able, honest administrators! Who will run the country without the Spaniards? The mostly peasant rebels, who were not educated?

(Glaring example was Cambodia, after Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge took over!)

And if Lazir may add, the KOR has better leaders who qualify, can run/administer the KOR much better than the present incompetent leadership!

"INCOMPETENT" because even though Lazir kept writing IHQ in 2007/2008 about the Alcoba abuse, Mr Esguerra NEVER acted to quickly EXPEL Alcoba, but promoted him instead in July 2007!

Worse, Sir Jun Zerrudo, who furthered Rizalism, was EXPELLED first! (Proof of IHQ favoritism, where the GOOD are hit hard, the BAD/ABUSIVE, get velvet treatment!)

Also, Lazir showed documentary evidence where Mr Esguerra lied twice, in April and in May 2007!

Samuel Samuela used close to 5,000 words and sweeping generalizations, yet couldn't really pinpoint Lazir's misdeed! Before Lazir started to write, the missing approx. Euro 5,000 got lost sometime RY 1999-2000! If a Supreme Commander cannot explain MISSING funds, is that not corruption?, is that not as grievous as charges of giving the KOR a bad name? And if Lazir writes about those, is his reporting to blame for a bad name given the KOR way back RY 1999-2000?

Now if Samuela is FAIR, HONEST, JUST, a man with INTEGRITY and CHARACTER, if he is indeed a GOOD Lawyer worth his grey matter, he must now act upon the evidence/s Lazir submitted, to expel the Supreme Commander for DISHONESTY!, a glaring violation of Sec 4, RA 646 on "good moral character"!)

BIGGER QUESTIONS:

Was the May 2008 elections just a Zarzuela or Moro-Moro? If not, why the claim/report reaching Lazir that Sir Pedro Rosito (RY 2006-2008 Supreme Pursuivant?) "certified" or wrote something stating among others that Visayas or Mindanao chapters/Knights, where the 2008 KOR elections were SUPPOSED to be held, was "not ready or prepared"? (Lazir didn't see the document and he couldn't quote the exact wordings. He is asking though. If he erred, he asks one who knew better to please CORRECT him! If there was a prior agreement to hold the 2008 elections OUTSIDE Luzon, why did Mr Quiambao, Mr Esguerra hold these exercise in Luzon, with the help of a Visaya in the Supreme Council, Sir Pedro Rosito?)

Now, today, there are others more able to run the KOR (the Philippines!), then current incompetent leadership!

Samuel Samuela, show the world you are a man proud of your name, not only a rank, a sash and a title, but one with Integrity, Discipline and Character to stand on your own, to work on merits, to investigate when propriety so dictates!

For country and people!

Sir's,

A lot of focus on who said this and who said that, and he did this and that.

Change the subject in the Orders interests.

NOW:

JPR wrote, "why independence when the slaves of today will be the tyrants of tomorrow"

What did the national hero mean?

Comments, advice, input, feedback and above all a bit of thought. Our Regional Commander asked children in a contest to explain the meaning. Now to change the topic let's hear from the body, let's get to know JPR better, I need more education on JPR perhaps those reading can spare time to enlighten all on the meaning.
